Final product from my detailer (Supreme Shine NY)
- Remove old poorly installed PPF - Discovered front bumper was destroyed (chips, scratches, pulled paint, screw holes) so had holes filled and entire bumper cover repainted to match. - Paint correction for deep swirling on entire car - Removed around 10 dings. - Applied new PPF and 3 layers of ceramic coating. - Installed some aero. I know the rear wing is a bit aggressive, but I'm a Honda boy at heart and I love it. I didn't know Avus Blue existed before I bought this car from a forum member, but it has quickly become my favorite paint color. It's so versatile in different lightings. Everyone who sees it is amazed. |

Just picked up my 2018 Comp. I was stalking this thread as I was shopping for my car, and I couldn't decide between Avus vs. San Marino. In the end, chose Avus, can't say that I was disappointed. Figured I'd post my specimen, not sure if this was someone else's car who is on this board. Forgive me, I suck at photos.

Congratulations dude. She’s a beaut. Can’t wait to see what you do with it! Here’s one of mine from today. Time for me to do suspension and fix that wheel-gap! |

Glad to know I’m not the only Avus car on LI. I’m over in Huntington, just getting my car paint corrected as we speak. New Apex wheels hopefully go on by the end of the week. Catch you around!

Make that 3! I just bought this out of Texas. Flying there Wednesday and doing a 2k mile trip back. My first M3 was an avus blue E36 M3, as soon as it popped up I had to pull the trigger. This one will live in Lindenhurst

I picked up this Avus Blue F80 about 2 months ago! Looking forward to paint correcting and ceramic coating in the spring time. I really want to make this color shine.
Car was bone stock when I picked it up. It's currently my daily driver throughout the cold and snowy days of Chicago. The car only has ~15k miles on it. I am the third owner but I'm happy to be one of 106 in the world! |

Finally got around to get some shots of the M3. I love how dynamic this color is in different lighting. Additionally, I plan to paint correct and ceramic coat the vehicle in the coming weeks.
I''ll be sealing the paint with Gyeon Mohs EVO and I'll try to document/take photos of the process. However, I plan on lowering the car with Macht Schnell springs this week on 3/30/24. I also have 12mm spacers to throw on all four corners to complete the lowered look. Stay tuned for photos of that as well.

Mods Installed: Macht Schnell Springs and Macht Schnell 12mm spacers. I finally got around to lowering the F80 with some Macht Schnell lowering springs! The install was pretty easy and straight forward. Absolutely no issues while installing which is surprising. As we all know, installs almost NEVER come w/o hiccups. However, everything went smooth. The drop on the car was perfect. After measuring, the rear dropped about 0.9" and the front dropped 1.1" This lowering spring kit is suitable for the F8x generation as a whole so they include these gold spacers for the rear spring cups which are used on the F80 but not the F82/3. I ended up using the gold spacers that were supplied by MS. You can totally go without it but I was not fan of the reverse rake stance that the car would get from that. The 12mm spacers in the front and rear were recommended to me by a friend who has the same setup and loves the stance. (Thank you, Nick!) I could maybe squeeze a 15mm in the back but I would like to leave some room for extra rubber in the future. Alignment pending next week 4/8- 4/13 Here are some photos of the install:
