BMW M Performance Car jacked up - its a little scary how low the oil cooler sits Wheels off - lovely and clean Carbon splitters on Then the lip splitter Side Blades - they make the car look wider! Next up was the suspension KW H.A.S Kit already to go on ...and in Now the end product - LOVE IT. To me, the drop is perfect (thanks Kam!) Benn following your progress on IG.. love YMB! I think if I were to order another F8x it would be YMB. I alos think I'm going to go with the KW H.A.S. for the reasons you outlined above.

Thanks for the kind comments gents
Diffuser will be on the way near the end of this year.. ( not BMW M Performance ) I got the Running In Service done, not had much of a chance to hammer the car since due to weather Now the suspension has settled a few snaps taken Don't worry, no M4's were harmed with this next picture |

Friday 24th July - Running-In Service
So near enough a month into ownership and I racked up the miles for the Running In. Booked back into my supplying dealer and the experience was pleasant, thankfully! Bar a nail in my rear drivers tyre (luckily I have tyre insurance and they will be fitting a new Michelin PSS this week) everything as you would expect went smoothly. Unfortunately, due to the weather I haven't had a chance to see what the cars capabilities are post running in. To me, the car was ballistic even without exceeding 5.5k revs lol The dealer arranged for an F80 M3 as a loan car for the few hours I gave my M4 in Sapphire Black with Silverstone is a great combo, if a little discreet. I liked the Piano Black trim, makes a nice change from the regulation Carbon Fibre inlays every M3/M4 seems to have Initial thoughts, the M3 felt very very similar to the M4. It almost felt a little stiffer - all in all a great drive! Rear space looked the same as the M4 though which would piss me off if I had a 4 door saloon. A great all round car. Running In Service done - Now I can open her up a bit... |

Friday 31st July - New Tyre
At the running in, I made my dealer aware of a nail that had lodged itself into the sidewall of my rear drivers tyre. What luck after all of 1000 miles on the fresh new Michelin PSS! They ordered the tyre in as they had none in stock and so I popped over to get this fitted. They have an awesome mirrored wall as you come in to park lol Another pleasurable experience (so far so good), dropped in and had a gander around a San Marino Blue M6 GC while they got to work. M6 is nice! I opted for the tyre insurance when I bought the car, delighted I did! £10 excess and I now have a brand new tyre replaced - no repairs or headache from the dealer, just a simple 'Yes sir, we'll get that changed for you.' Unfortunately, my M4 is suffering from what seems to be a common fault with the seat badges - almost looks like the gel inside is leaking. Hard to capture in a photo but its on back order so will get this replaced when its in You can kind of depict the blemish across the 'M' section of the badge. I've now had the chance to fully push the car since the running in service (within my modest driving talents/courage), the car is M E N T A L! I'm not exaggerating, its ridiculously fast out of the box! Traction Control kicks in sometimes in 4th! ...and a few pictures from this week |

The HAS kit has settled now and its a little firmer than stock but in a nice sporty way In Comfort - its nice but a maybe a little bouncy over speed humps Sport - I keep it in this 99% of the time and it feels and handles great Sport Plus - I only really use this to stiffen up the suspension when I have a steep bump/obstacle to negotiate |

Fantastic thread to read! One of the best looking m4's I have seen. Excellent choice of modifications that I have already planned on doing so it nice to see them on another car.
What was the front and rear drop you went for in the end for it to sit how you wanted it? 20mm? |
