4500 miles and the leather is wearing out.
Those are silverstone seats.
I can't understand how those are so worn out and dirty. I'm an original owner of a 2001 M5 with silverstone seats and they are in better shape! It looks like the F80 seats are made from some kind of cheap knock off material. Also, the leather is very porous and catched dirt way too easily. The lower backrest has those stains that I can't remove. It looks like it's from my belt. But again, my 17 year old car with 189k miles looks better. I tried using a mild water/soap solution with a microfiber towel, but it didn't clean the stain. Can anyone recommend a good/safe leather cleaner? Thanks!

That bolster looks bad. Can't believe it's already wearing that fast too. See if your dealer will warranty it. Do you rub up against it every time? You could code comfort entry or program the other seat memory to move back a few inches and push it before you get out so when you get back in it's already back a few inches.

Wow. My F80 has 10K miles and the leather looks new. Granted it is Amaro and not SS, but still, that shouldn't happen. The bolster needs to be redyed. I agree with seeing if your warranty will cover it. In terms of a leather cleaner, I recommend Leather Masters cleaner and protection cream. They also make an ink lifter that may work if the stain in jean dye transfer.
GL!

My carbonstructure has 40k miles on it and doesn't look that bad (in terms of wear, discoloration can't be seen).
I have seen one other f80 with wear that bad that soon and it was on a full leather SO interior. The bolster was aggressively rubbed against by the guys jeans every time he got in and out. |

The bottom picture looks like denim stain. But Im at 24K and yes the leather wears really fast IMO. Its super easy to scratch. I low key inspect my passengers before I let them ride lol. I have some pretty nasty scratches from people getting in and out in the passenger side.

This doesn't look good for 4,500 miles. No cleaner, conditioner or revitalizer will solve for the issue in the first picture. That's damage from contact. The second picture appears to be indigo transfer from denim. That should come out with a number of products on the market from Leatherique, Leather Masters, Lexol, et al. What are you currently using to protect / clean your leather?

I've had Silverstone Leather on both my F80s 15/18. No issues. I have about 2800 miles on my 2018, and they look nearly perfect.
Your seats look old and poorly maintained... not insinuating that is the case.

First picture is an abrasion issue when you get in/out the car, put a hand on the bolster as you get in/out to avoid your thigh/back side scuffing the leather.
As for the dye transfer on the second pictures, use a good leather cleaner swissvax as an example and a soft brush (shoe brush as an example) and work the leather (it won't scratch it) then lift way the residue with a damp microfiber cloth.
