I remember posting this exact video back in 2015:
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1210024 To be fair, all older M3 generations a re fitted with aftermarket exhausts while the F80 is stock.

Im an ex E36 M3 owner and I love the F8x M3/M4 minus the exhaust note. It's beautiful a machine, the haters are on drugs! Really!!! Power and looks alone have me sold.

Obviously to each his/her own on the exhaust sound, but personally I don’t get it. The F80 sounds way better than the tin can noise my E46 makes and not sure if comparing it against a V8 is really fair. Of all the original reviews, the one person I was most interested in getting their impression was Chris Harris. Chris had nothing but good things to say and that sold me. The car has been fantastic!

Still getting used to my new f80, but it feels great so far. Remember, there are people who get upset that summer gets hot and winter gets cold...

It's YouTube. Generally a mob mentality like reddit. Not to mention I can bet you about 90% can't afford it or been behind the wheel.

As someone who's driven e46 and e92 m3s and now a f80 driver with 30k miles I can say that each was worse and better than the other. There are many aspects of my f80 that I much prefer to previous generations (which I loved). There are also aspects of those cars which I loved. One thing I like about BMW is that they stretch the envelope with these cars which means they stick out for good and bad reasons. I call it character. If they were all generic they'd be no haters and they'd also have no character in future years.
