The e90 m3 had a non metallic black but on order guides for f80 the only non metallic color is white. Does anyone know if there will be any other options for colors besides the colors in order guide?

Jet Black (Schwarz II Uni) F8x M3/M4 ?

Does anyone have infos if the tradional BMW non metallic black named Jet Black or Schwarz II Uni will come for the F80M3 and F82M4 as second standard color?

In the case of the F30 this color was availiable short time after the debut of the car as second black color and as second standard (no cost) color option.

For the F8x too ??? Love this color !!!

They will. And we already know what they are: 4 individual colors. Moonstone, Tanzanite, Pyrite, and Azurite or Citrin.

When I was at the Welt, some tour guide mentioned the statistic that something like 70-80% of all BMWs are some shade of black, grey, silver or white. It makes sense because those are safe choices that don't look dated over time.

However, I wonder if some exec at BMW is trying to move away from that, and feels that black is somehow a 'cheap' color unless it has some sparkle to it. It seems you can only get a real black with base models these days. I LOVE pure, Jet Black cars. My e39 M5 was Jet Black, and I searched for it, passing up other good options to get the one I wanted. I didn't want Carbon Black, silverstone, or blue.

I would pay extra to have one of the 'lesser' colors on my F80, like EBII or jet black. YMB and SO are striking, but I feel like I have to force myself to like it, as opposed to the natural attraction I have towards other colors. Give me San Marino/Monte Carlo/Estoril Blue 2 (in that order) or Jet Black and I would give you all the rest of the colors offered for the M3, as I just cannot identify with any of them.
