You would lose some of the ram air effect, and the intake will suck somewhat warmer air from under the hood.
That is in theory. In practice I doubt any of us would actually notice any change in performance.

I have one of these on my M4 that along with the Akra full system and a Bren Tuning tune makes some serious music. I love mine.

Does anyone have fitment issues with aftermarket chargepipes? I have clearance issues with the MAF sensor connector.

I would love to get one of these intakes but I can't afford it after buying my M4. I'm going to be joining the BMW CCA in South East Florida. If I come across one I'll post a picture of it installed.
