MPE on a 2018 ZCP
I have done some research, at least the best you can do via videos and searches which admittedly is not great during these types of choices. However, I live on Oahu so I don't have the option to hear this in person. Is it worth it to upgrade from the sport exhaust to the MPE? Or would I be better off unplugging the baffles?
When I tried unplugging the baffles before I could not help but feel like my car had some type of delay in throttle response. This could be because I was paranoid that I might mess something up by doing this. Anyone that has a ZCP or has heard one please help me out here. Also if you have a better option feel free to throw that out there as well, I'm not wanting a check engine light or a tune btw and factory warranty is very important to me. Thanks in advance for the help! |

I mainly want to have the pops and bangs in every mode but do not think it's possible. |

Thank you x1000 for this info! It was actually going to run me $7100 OTD for the exhaust, rear defuser, carbon tips and carbon rear spoiler. Time to look at other options.

The MPE sound is superior to the stock muffler. If I were in your shoes I would get the MPE but instead of a diffuser, I would get the M Performance HAS. That would make your car look and sound the best without an issue to your warranty.

I vote MPE. Had mine installed before taking delivery. Good sound and great aesthetic. Not to mention you can shed some weight since the MPE weighs less than the stock exhaust system.

Depending on your goals (aesthetic mods or performance mods), that's a pretty high budget for modding.

+1. AA midpipe added a sportier sound to my zcp. Requires no tune and does not throw a CEL. Also, way cheaper than adding a full CBE (which doesn't net you much power anyway).

Go to a shop and have them cut off your secondary cats and resonator and have them fabricate a custom x pipe for you. Shouldn't cost more than $5-700 and your car will be exactly how you want it to sound.
source: did this on my zcp. Pm me for sound clips if you want |
