Wow. I'm truly sorry you had to go through that terrible experience. Atleast you had fun on your euro delivery. I need to do that on my next BMW.

I'm in Bothell too. I'll keep a look out for your car

Thanks Rainzon! Awesome! I'm probably the only car rocking a front euro plate so I shouldn't be too hard to spot!
As for ED, it's an amazing experience! Just make sure you give yourself enough time over there, and avoid BMW Northwest!

I feel for you, but there is no way in hell I would’ve given those assholes a dime. I still would’ve taken the trip as I’ve been out there twice (no Euro delivery) and it is an awesome vacation/experience regardless of what car is involved. For what you gave them you could’ve went on vacation there a second time I’m guessing.

I’m sorry for your experience and can understand why you did what you did. But still taking the car enables these guys and people like them to continue doing these types of sales practices.

Sorry to hear. I would make sure to get a purchase agreement signed by the dealer before making any plans like this. No matter how well the salesperson treats you before the sale, you need a way to protect yourself.

What a jackass. Thanks for the heads up. I’ve heard that BMW Northwest is to be avoided and this just confirms that. FWIW I would steer clear of Bellevue also. Not had problems with dishonestly but rather with arrogance. BMW Seattle is the way to go. That’s a great dealership. Alex is the best SA I’ve encountered basically anywhere and really gets M cars.

Agreed... I was shocked that you signed knowing they were really fking you over.

I wouldn't take my car there if I was in sight of the dealership and my life depended on it.. (nor buy one)

I am the reason they are missing their customer service award for one year in the 90s, and had the owner SCREAMING at me on the phone in heavily accented German. Yeah.. he hates me, but he had every opportunity to make a car sale right after their salesman provably lied to me numerous times.

So I made him pay.. formal complaint with the CCA, and BMW NA, and it cost them their BMW NA award for the year.

Their sales team does not seem to be in touch with the real world. I had my F80 in for service last week and poking around the showroom noticed they had an SMB M3CS on the floor. Seeing the great lease deals people on this forum have been getting I inquired. Lease they presented was $5k down, $1,600/month for 10k/year 36 month. I didnt even ask for the paperwork as they were so far off.

Wow
Horror stories form that place.
Maybe you should complain to BMWNA
Not sure if it would help but worth a try

My formal BMWNA complaint sure hit a nerve let me tell you. I sat in the owners office, and had him talk down to me, treat me like a kid and basically say "sue me". They sold me a CPO car, labeled as CPO, listed as CPO, sold HARD by the sales-douche as a CPO... only to find nope, first time I brought it back for service, not even CLOSE.

I escalated through the sales manager, GM then owner and they treated me like something they scraped off their shoe.

Karma came due after the long BMW NA phone call from me, when the owner called ME (after dodging dozens of my calls) direct, to SCREAM at me on "HOW DARE I DO THIS WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU MISERABLE LITTLE !#$!#$!#%!#!#$!#$... " and so on and so on in heavily accented German.

Yeah.. I loved every minute of it! Oh I cost you your BMWNA award for this year? SO SO Sorry..

That sucks... but glad it's all over with... I gotta say though it's really the luck of the draw since I had the best experience at NW - but the guy I worked with Brandon White now works for a different car manufacturer, so I'll have to reconsider where to go afterwards.

I'll have to find out who the rest of you guys worked with at BMW Seattle, since whoever I had was a complete dick/patronizing to me when I walked in... granted I work in the tech industry so I'm not big into dressing up but that should be a given around here... I was laughed at for asking for $1k off a $70k MSRP for my M3 and told if I couldn't afford the car then to look at something else. I worked with Brandon White for less than 10 min, got a total of $3800 off with rebates, and got my ED all squared away...

my point is... it really comes down to the person you get lucky with people sell cars not dealerships.

I worked with Karl Peterson @ Seattle. Real nice guy and he dug every rebate possible and took some off on top of that.

I had the same experience in Bellevue.. rolled in to the dealership in jeans and a t-shirt, with a 50k preapproval email burning a hole in my pocket for a new 3 series.

Literally got the up and down look from a sales-weasel, who then walked away from me without saying a word. I had a loooooooooooooooooong talk with the sales manager, about how if they sell on appearance, I could give them first name basis recommendations to people who could probably buy half the dealership, in cash.. and wear jeans, cargo shorts, and kilts.

Maybe being 1k yards from MSFT and the average dress code, mabye just maybe having snotty sales staff is a bad idea.

Needless to say I left after that.

Fife is crap.. seattle is Ok (from my experience) and Bellevue has snotty sales staff, ok parts desk but who want to overcharge like @#$@#$#.
