When I look right at the wheels, I can see the design more or less (but only if the light conditions are appropriate). But if I just take a general/overall look at the car, I don't really notice that much (especially if no direct light illuminates the rims).

Same effect like with most black wheels, the wheelhouse just gets lost. Same happens with the design (which maybe could be a good thing if you don't like the design, but this can't be the solution IMO).
+1...better in black but not enuf for me to change what I have. The spoke size just doesnt work well for me in black too.

Alright, who's going to take one for the team and get theirs done in Gunmetal?

Mine comes out of production on Monday apparently. I may give it a go if I can find a hydro-dipper in Austin who has something other than carbon fiber or snake skin dips

I'll have to reserve my judgement until I see a set IRL. I made that mistake with the OEM finish and turned out to be completely wrong. These wheels look awesome.

However, at this point, I prefer the wheels stock by far

My ZCP M3 comes in on Monday. We have a great powder coating garage nearby and I was debating between gloss black and gunmetal gloss or matte. What's peoples opinions on these, does anyone have a good example on other cars? Shade (Dark/Light)? Matte/Gloss?

What color car? Do you want a more aggressive or classy look?

Yeah - I want to see them in person first too. But I'm thinking that a darker inner with a polished surface would be nice. Basically replace the orange of the M4 GTS with a dark grey.

I just don't know. The wheels are already busy as is, so I'm not sure adding even more contrast is a good idea personally

Way better IRL as pretty much everyone has said. The spokes are flat, but you don't realize I the pics how concave the rest of the wheel is, which takes up a major portion of the surface area. In terms of design alone, I think these 20s look best out of all the OEM options

People who like black wheels, "Wow, this looks amazing!!"

People who don't like black wheels, "You cant see the wheel, the design is lost, would look better in silver or gunmetal, I think _____ (insert anything other than black) would look so much better!!"

Whoever owns it and had those wheels painted....tell 'em it looks great. Never thought I'd say that about the 666's cause I don't particularly like them but in black...here comes the perfect pun...night and day difference

My thoughts exactly.

Although, the black is definitely an improvement.
