So, who in SoCal is going to lend a modded m3/m4 to Matt Farah to use on his "one take" show? I would love to watch that and would offer mine if i weren't realllly far away.

He can be a little much at times but his commentary does seem pretty honest.

Matt is a good guy in person, he did a in-depth review on our supercharged M3 a few years ago:

Unfortunately, we had worn rear tires or he would've been able to push it further.

Matt contributes more to the automotive community than most on this forum (of course, including me). Seems like a nice enough guy with good energy. Hopefully we'll see an F8x on the one-take soon enough. In the meantime, he has the M4 review on /DRIVE.

I like Matt's reviews. I cannot tell if he is a douche or not. I could see where he could be in real life but I don't think he comes across that way in his reviews. And at this point I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he is an okay guy outside of youtube. But to each their own!

Don't know the guy but he likes cars and tuning same as most of us do, he has a platform with which to reach out to us and anyone else interested in motorsports/ tuning and is doing a pretty decent job with it. Till i personally have a run in with him and he acts like an asshole or douche with me i say keep up the good work and keep promoting that which we all love.

He seems like a really down to earth guy, but his reviews on cars can def improve with some preparations on basic car facts of the vehicle before testing them.

phew ... for a moment there I thought I might be alone! haha. he's a but opinionated at times, sure.. and says some stuff I don't agree with, but overall I find his stuff to be entertaining and he puts out a lot of new content. the "let me drive your car down a windy road" was such a great idea. I would like to see a reviewer try a tuned m3/4 so I can show my wife how awesome it would be to tune ours. haha. she's not a fan of any modding of the car, but this may help!

I enjoy his reviews. I actually find Chris Harris somewhat annoying.

I particularly enjoyed Matt's take on the E92 ZCP and the EAS supercharged E92

I have not met him in person yet, but the guys at the shop I go to spent a day with him when he did a review of their clone 1m s65 swap and think he's a great person to work with.

That's what I think of the guy from seeing him on youtube, looks like a guy id catch a beer with and talk shop with. Sure fame and fortune blah blah blah but i would like to think that car guys remain car guys and dont fall by the wayside. Please may we all be like Jay Leno when fame hits us lol.

i have ran out of M4 videos to watch while waiting for my car!!! >.< HALP!!!! lol

i watched this video like 20 times, boat is scheduled to arrive in brunswick today hoepfully it gets through VDC quickly and on a truck without any issues. if all goes well i should see it this weekend or sometime next week.

I love his podcasts (The Smoking Tire). It's a must-listen on my iPhone.

He, and other auto "journalists", constantly attempt to brusquely make the subjective argument an objective one running out of meaningful/bright ideas... other than that, he reviews a broad spectrum of vehicles which I value.

Though many of his staff are in their 30s, they do come across as rather immature at times, but I'm not here to make friends with them. Plus he loves a C5 Corvette which I find to be an absolute sh!tbox as they'd call it. ymmv

So while still waiting around for my M4, and looking for some videos to watch to keep make my wait even more painful, I found that Matt Farah reviewed the M4 a while back. However, without a Drive+ subscription, I was unable to satisfy my fix for some M4 thrashing about and off to Google I went.

I scoured the depths of Google for the video somewhere and after a few pages, my persistence paid off and I share my find with the F8x community. For those in my shoes, without the Drive+ subscription, enjoy the video below

I like the guy, he's alright. Just a normal everyday dude, sure he's a little chunky but I came for the car not his personal life. That little spin around seemed very candid, what you or I would experience in the car. That's what's important me and most people.

You want to see assclownery, take a look a what Consumer Reports did with an M3 and two "skinny" idiots who reported information inaccurately and just drove around like annoyingly giggly buffoons.
