Don't put money down on a lease. Search the forum for more info on the ins and outs of BMW leasing. Great sticky in the ordering sub-forum. Best of luck! |

Seems like the average deals are $2k over invoice and very best are $500 over invoice.
It is a bit tough to get the full picture because of dealer fees but if you are in that range its a reasonable deal. Definitely do msd not cap cost reduction if you are leasing |

It depends where you are in the country, how far you're willing to shop, and how many dealers you're willing to contact. For example, in the Bay Area, you will have a tough time getting anything under MSRP. But it does seem that other regions are already relaxing pricing.

go to truecar for the current prices- see if you can get a better deal.
as far as the down, that really depends on your situation. My general rule is to purchase the car, borrow 1/3, but have enough savings to pay it off if you so choose. I don't like to borrow much money, unless it is for a house or an investment income property.

New York City? Don't know but SF area is pretty much MSRP+. Probably good deal in cities like SF/NY if you can get 4% off MSRP. I'd be happy walking away with 3.5% off MSRP. And ofcourse if financing get the lowest rate as possible. Good luck I got 3% off of my Lease MSRP.

But as far as price, seems to be region dependent. $500 over invoice is the lowest I've seen, which many forum members seem to have gotten. And there are auto loan calculators you can find on the internet that gives you an idea of what your payments will look like. Best of luck. |

I negotiated 1000 over invoice then applied the drive event and innovation credit to get to 1k below invoice.
You should def consider calling dealers in nj and eastern PA. They seem to deal more than closer to the city. I used a small dealer called Apple of york PA and was very easy to deal with my salesman Joe. In fact he sends cars to LI all the time through a broker. Good luck. |

with low interest rates it really would make sense to finance as much as possible ( so long as you have the liquidity to back it up).

25K??? where did this number come from? You are going to 50K down on a car?

If you are trying to get payment "idea" so you can plan then build your car online for a total price, then use an online loan calculator thats on the site (or there are hundreds online) and you can see your payment. Play with the down payment to see what the gets you, then when its time to actually but then negotiate down from your estimates.
