Issue with Euro Delivery - Please Help
Hey guys,
This is my second Euro Delivery and didn't have any issues with my first one. I dropped off my car car on 3/26 at the port.r. I just received a call stating that my head unit is damaged and they won't receive the parts until 6/27, meaning I won't receive my car until the week of July 1st. Which means it'll be over 13+ weeks since dropping of my car. They have already started my payments on 5/1 and 6/1. What are my options? Please help. Thanks |

Whatever you do, continue to make your payments! Basically you'll have to have made 2 payments before you take delivery. My ED has gone flawless (so far) and i've already had to make 1 payment and I dont expect my car for another 7-10 days. I do feel your pain, however! I think this is just one of those things you need to take a deep breath, have a beer and wait out.

I'm guessing this is only a problem with people that lease?
So this effectively increases your monthly payment by a factor of 2months payments/ lease term. So that should be added to your cost for doing ED. People should factor those costs in when doing their calculations. Devang

I had a very similar issue with my M5 a few years ago, see thread: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=775866
I was using third party financing, and BMW wrote me a check for one of my payments for the trouble. |

You are still paying your monthly payments on a purchase and still no car to drive around due to the delay. Difference is if you crash and total tour car the 1st yr, better hope the insurance covers up t the loan buy out or you'll be paying negative equity on a car you no longer drive, while the person who leased walks away Scott free AND gets all the MSDs back |

Request BMWNA to pay an extra month on your behalf. Most probably they will do it, after all if this would have happened at your dealer they would give you a loaner for the duration of the repairs.

Push for 2 payments and ask them to provide you a loaner car. You wont get the loaner but they will feel like giving you two payments is a good compromise. Good luck
