Cost of Competition Package?

Anyone have rational prediction of the cost of this option?

TIA, and sorry if this was a thread subject before, but I did not see one.

It hasn't been announced as an option for 2016 yet... it may not be available (my guess is it won't be available in 2016) but rather as a 2017 car (if then). So, I bet you can't even order a competition car until next year at the earliest.

Predicting cost will be impossible without knowing what BMW will include in it. Suspension, wheels, power, exhaust... depending on what is included, the price will be higher/lower. I would just bank on $5,000 minimum as I think it will include a lot of stuff personally.

Thanks gthal. Something that one of the guys in the know said led me to believe that the comp package was going to come out in 2016.

I think you are right about the price, but I don't have much experience with BMW to base an estimated price on, just a gut feeling.

I have a feeling you are correct. Partly due to the strong competition, this time around the competition package is going to include a lot more stuff than years past.

I finally get it now - that's what they mean by Competion Package. It's the package that they release to keep up with the competition.

Bmw released updated M6 comp package in May and will be available in July. So far nothing on M3/M4, but perhaps something may be announced by August (when GTS is announced) and released towards end of the year or early next year as a MY16.
