For everyone who has a delivery date from mid august-mid September, when was the purchase order made? I am currently waiting on my sales agent for a firm PO/ ED dates but now I am beginning to think this is not possible for the dates Ill need this to be this year. I was told he has an allocation, and the dates seem plausible for about a week now.

You can do ED in 6 weeks, less if they have an allocation planned. When did you agree to the deal? Your CA should have submitted right away and should be able to confirm dates within 72 hours of submission.

I believe we agreed on price on the 1st then there was some miscommunication on my build for a couple of days, but finally got the build order right on the by the 2nd/3rd. I believe he was very busy on the 4th of July then had a day off. So for the past 5 days Ive just been "waiting for an email". It seems like with the few allocations/average 6 week mark, its going to be cutting it really close.

I think you'll be fine. ED prodcution bumps standard production so they will get you turned around pretty quick timeframe.. Priority 0 for tourist ordered. You'll see.

Having a similar issues. Had the PO in for over 10 days. No confirmed date yet but I do have a production number.

Just wishing I had a date so I can lock in my airfare/hotel bookings

My PO went last Friday. It has to be 30 days or more before the agreed delivery day. My delivery day was finalized early June and the PO went out now in July. It can be sent anytime before the 30 days from delivery day. Less than 30 and that jeopardizes the delivery date. This is per the email I received from the ED departments after they confirmed my delivery date.

As far as i know once your ED date gets confirmed, you can book your flights and hotel.
That is the boat i am in now. Trying to figure hotels etc...out

I was in a very similar situation where I could not get a confirmed ED date, but had a production number. I assumed my CA was doing everything he could, but the hold up turned out to be on his end. He had some piece of information wrong on the initial request and it got held up by the BMWNA ED person. After about a week of patiently waiting I started calling my CA daily and that got things moving again.

My advice is to push your on your CA, especially if he/she has not been super responsive throughout the process.

Reminder! As we have people picking up starting August 10th, today or tomorrow would technically be the last days to get in your Purchase order to BMW. As a minimum of 30 days is required! Just keeping everyone in the loop!

What time are you getting to the Welt? We don't get a factory as they are on vacation that week.

Did you book your hotel yet? I need to figure out where to stay still. Need rooms for 9 people! Haha

Your guys are talking about 2 different POs. The PO -production order (submitted with an allocation) allows the to schedule your build and confirm your dates.

The PO - Purchase order is the one that needs to be completed 30 days prior to delivery. It has T&Cs requires your passport info and your signature (which needs to closely resemble the passport signature)

So I highly recommend Le Meridian - good in town location and excellent american style luxury. They also understand ED and take to part your cars carefully. See Pic

If you drop off in Munich - try and get the airport Hilton. Right next to the In/Out Drop off point. You'll spend an extra 20-30 euros on a cab/shuttle from any of the other hotels in the "airport" area. Just FYI.

Yes, I am talking about the same one indeed, the second one in your above description. It had a copy of my passport and I needed to sign it.

That doesn't seem right. I'm not sure what the standard is, but my dealership finally got it's September allocation on 6 or 7 July. My CA had my order waiting and was ready to submit the moment the allocation came in. I had my Production number on the 7th and my confirmed delivery time/date on the 9th.

Received my M3 production order number yesterday with my 3 preferred dates (Oct 5, 6, & 7). Waiting on date confirmation.................hopefully next week? I can book the hotel reservations assuming my 1st date will be confirmed because I can always change/cancel those if needed. However, the airline reservation is another thing altogther....
