Erie is usually pretty good as long as you're squeaky clean. Their underwriting is strict so that's why their rates are so good imo. Other companies want to market to the masses and let most knuckle heads in the door with a couple of tickets or an accident which always increases their loss ratio's down the road which means everyone has a rate increase due to the knuckle heads. Unfortunately this is how auto ins companies rate their customers not to mention credit scoring plus 100 other things.

Smart thing to do is always always have high LIability limits, package Home/Auto with the same company and ASK FOR ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS!!!
Seems nowadays everyone comes up with gimmicky discounts which are short term and then fall off but at least take advantage of them.

BUT IF YOU DON"T ASK YOU WON'T GET'EM. Trust me...agents make their money off higher premiums... hint hint!!

Geico $820.30/6 months

$1000/$1000 deductible. Anything less than that, I'll pay out of pocket.

I pay $492 for 6 months for 2 drivers with multi-car discount.

Without multi-car discount it is $685 for 6 months. Not cheap but not really expensive.

Garage List
USAA, 35, $784 / 6 mos. My coverages are way above min's though. $300 deductibles and $1M/$500K per occurrence. More than I need but dropping them wouldn't change my rates too much unless I raise the deductibles.

My 335is was about $150 cheaper / 6 mos.

As an American living in Italy, I have the option of either Geico or USAA, and I go with the latter. I pay $4100 per year averaging 8000 miles annually.

What do I get for my hard-earned greenbacks? A piece of paper saying something about €5.6M bodily injury, €1.1M property damage, $1000/$1000 deductibles, and a driving record with no tickets or accidents in 17 years.

When I lived in Korea, I could insure my little Korean car for - no kidding - $10 per month.

$1200/yr with a $500 deductible (AAA).

Don't have the rest of the specifics on hand but the plan is quite comprehensive.

However, I received a rate increase notification that allegedly effects all cars in MD due to the shitty drivers here. Went up $300 a year.

You guys are (mostly) so lucky. Here in Dubai the best possible rate you get for an new M car is 4.4% of value.

Our cars are even more expensive here. I'll list prices and insurance in dollars to make this easy to understand (this is for a fully specced non-ZCP M4 also excluding ceramic brakes).

List price: $114,300 (AED 420,000)
"dealer discount": $99,100 (AED 364,000)
What I paid (corporate discount): $90,400 (AED 332,000)

Insurance this year for me (4.4% of value) $3,950
