it is strange that you need to get the sports steering wheel to get paddles LOL...otherwise enjoy your buttons...you have one on each side to do both up/downshifts

Good. So we can stop the break-in debate.

Even while driving? I wasn't aware you could do it in motion to engage a drift in a Ferrari (pull both paddles, full throttle, release the padles to get the rear wheels to break traction), that's what's so cool about it in the 991 GT3.

This is great news for those who change oil themselves
No more running to the dealership to pay $14.75 per Liter.
Now, a stroll to Autozone for some German Castrol 0W-30 LLO1
for $7.45 a quart.= WINNARH!!!!
About the Launch Control? gonna have to go and test drive one to see if its full out power launch.

I am starting to really want the new M3. I cant wait for all the reviews to roll in.
This has been burried in another forum but Georg Karcher has tested the new M3 (May edition of Automobile Magazine). I put scans here:

But how much fun can you have on the Autobahn or Nurburgring if you cant take the car above 5500 RPM? I guess you have to take it easy, but come on NURBURGRING!

To close out the golf analogy, limiting RPMs to 5500 for the first 1200 miles is equal to not being able to play fairways on those courses. Is it worth the cost and hassle? TBD I guess.
Like others have mentioned, it's pretty easy to rack up the miles needed. I went over 1200 miles in three days, had the service done, and spent the next week and a half adding another 2000 miles.

Thanks south. This is exactly the same as the M5/M6 including in the US so I think it is a safe bet it will be so for the M3/M4 here as well.

For the record i never drove a DKG before.

Question : If you are for example driving 3th gear manual/sequential mode with 2.000 rpm and you push kick down , does it stays in 3th gear or will it go to 1st or second like the normal 8 speed automatic does?

For me this would be very disappointing because i really like to ride on torque and hate downshifting without "asking" in manual mode. As i said the normal 8speed automatic from the F30 335i does.

Please say it isn't true!

It isn't true. In your example, the car stays in 3rd gear despite the kickdown.

Yep, there's the usual fluid change/service after 1,200 miles or 2,000 km, including engine oil and rear diff fluid.

I was playing around with that this past weekend. I never felt a kick.. unless you are trying to abruptly accelerate after it has been dropped into N. (?)
I t was actually extremely smooth and didn't even feel like it was engaging back into gear.
