I will try to get you a satellite position during the Atlantic crossing.
Any preferences for dates? I'm off on the 24th, so that works well for me and it will be close. Could do the 25th, too.

positioning over the atlantic will probably matter more to those getting discharged at Baltimore, I personally would prefer it before it arrives the panama so I can get ready for the canal locks

Capitan and crew had too much Sherry waiting out the storm. Going back to pick up transmissions/engines for Spartanburg plant? That's so weird. Hopefully, it's just an error.

Maybe weather? Looks like at least a few ships headed for the US have headed inland in the last few hours.

Might be more than we care to have in this thread but here is the NOAA wind and wave weather outlook for the Atlantic ocean. No, I'm not an expert but can see 9, 12, and 15 foot waves on the right in the Atlantic. Perhaps this is enough to generate caution and delay. Any wave experts here?

To be clear, these are total guesses from a non-meteorologist/oceanographer/hydrologist. But it looks to me like the ships might be able to get out Sunday afternoon or late Monday. Images below are MarineTraffic's wave height projections for, in order:
Now Midnight tonight Sunday noon Midnight Sunday night Monday noon All times are Eastern as far as I can tell. |

Looks like we’re underway again and making Atlantic-bound headway.
(I have an M240i on board.) |

Here you can see the strong winds (strongest = red; lightest = green) shifting northward during the next two days, away from the Grand Pavo’s route to Baltimore.

I doubt there will be any turning back now.
Hopefully, the two lost days can be made up (at least for us left-coasters) during the still-long journey home aboard the Great Turkey.

Go Great Turkey go!
Glad to see she is underway again. I have a mineral gray M240xi on board, but I have to wait for the last stop.

The schedule still says they'll make it to Baltimore on the 29th but I'm hoping it's no later than the 30th -- a one day slip due to weather. |
