Weird to think. But times change. And I'll likely get the car at some point. Don't really care what it's called.
But my dream car has been an M3 for all my life. Funny to think the first M car I get will not be an M3 but an M4 lol |

BMW must be secretly partial to sedan drivers, and think that they will better represent the M3 tradition moving forward. Obviously they're right.

It just looks to real to be a render, maybe I am wrong edit: "BMW has confirmed that, in about a year and a half, it will produce an M4 version of the 4-series coupe concept the company recently unveiled, and which is pictured here." - sounds like a real picture to me |

I know this is kind of off-topic but wouldn't it have been more logical for BMW to remain with the V8 at least for the coupe? Heck, they're following Audi's steps in renaming their models, why not copy the engines too? Since the RS5 and C63 will remain V8s... BMW is trying to "fit" in and make it more of a competition, it would only be logical for them to compete with the same caliber engines...

Let's suppose they give you the 3 cars but you can't look inside the hood, and the BMW is faster and handles better. Would you pick any of the other 2 just cause they have a V8? I think it's more of, BMW will even kick their butt with 2 cylinders less and saving fuel in the process with also a lighter car That's my feeling |

i love it, but what i learned is that i loved all the 4 series coupe renders but they really didn't look like the final concept.....
but good work on the render looks sexy! |

each series is 10k more expensive, so this will allow them to justify 10k prem over 3 series M3. This sucks but i will hold my breath until i see everything in paper and then make my call.

How could BMW tarnish the M3? It's such an iconic and historical car and to name the coupe(most likely) the M4 is wrong on so many levels. Why don't they know when to stop? Seriously.

But I agree with you, if I bought a M4, I wouldn't even bother trying to rebadge it to a M3 because I don't think the average citizen really notices or cares and for the enthusiasts, we know the whole deal so there really is no point unless the owner really, really cares for it. |
