We can expect the F8x generation to turn out similarly.
Color is obviously very subjective but I think the main gripe people had with interlagos blue was it was too purplish. I know I didnt like it for that reason. Lemans blue on the other hand was beautiful and truly "blue".

Sure. Although Le Mans sold even less than Interlagos. However, it did have a slight disadvantage since it wasn't available until the second model year.

In any case, even when you combine the sales of both of those blues, they are still outsold by white, black, gray, and in the case of the E90, silver as well.

My biased vote is for Tanzanite, and if ordering ZCP then BLACK 666M rims, otherwise the black ZCP trim bits will clash with the silver wheels. Ibiza'swife is an interior designer and was very impressed with black 666M with X10. Attached some biased photos from ED and then PCD in the sun, last photo is a comparison to the silver front X5M 21" rim, Long Beach Blue under the SC coastal sun. Both vehicles have IND painted front reflectors.

Obviously this all comes down to personal preference. But in my opinion, the question is what kind of personality you have. If you like your car to grab people's attention...YMB is the way to go. If you want to fly more under the radar, go with Tanzanite. I went back and forth on the YMB for a while before I finally pulled the trigger back in December. I absolutely love it now. It looks amazing with carbon fiber and I constantly get comments on how beautiful it is. To me, the Tanzanite is closer to black / gray / silver, in that it still looks great, but doesn't really standout.

lol dont read too much into it, I am just saying I like Tanz more than YMB. I bought my car CPO and color wasnt that important to me. A YMB one popped up at the right price so I got it. But if I was ordering new it wouldnt have been my first choice. I have just seen a lot of Tanz pics on here lately and with silver or brown interior and silver wheels I think it looks awesome and classy.

I will say though the best part about YMB is it certainly shows the lines very well and makes it obvious it is an M car whereas dark colors like black tend to blend in and make the unique M features such as the wheel arches and hood bulge difficult to see, especially from a distance.
That makes sense. I was curious if you had YMB regrets.

My personality is 100% TB, but every time I saw YMB I thought this is THE color I want my next car to be.
That's why I'm on the fence.

So what's the consensus on the wheel color? Silver with TB, right?

I'm loosing sleep over wheel color now. I think my life was easier when I was into black cars...

Noooooooo! That's another dilemma I had. Silver vs black 666 on TB.

God damn it.
Silver much easier to clean, black 666ers, difficult.

I have no doubt about that as most cars on the road fall into the black/white/gray spectrum. Look no further than BMW's color pallets on many of the models it offers and you will have 10 different shades of black/white/gray available compared to maybe one red or one blue. Obviously "neutrals" if you want to call them that are the safe/preferred color choice of most people.

Tanzanite with Golden Brown interior is simply beautiful. A very classy combo.

Haha, I was going to have the same but opposite answer. I picked Yas for the Texas heat, though I love both. BMW has a lot of good blues to be honest.

Yas is a dedicated M color. Tanzanite is very nice, but maintenance will be higher. I went through the exact same thing and ordered Yas. ED getting closer!
