Rear Diff Update
Parts was finally shipped yesterday with two to 4 days estimated delivery. Car only had two hundred miles when the rear diff caved in so I am wondering car has sat for almost two weeks... What will that do to the seals and engine it self? Why am I getting that shitty feeling that is the sign of things to come in a bad way like Lupsy feels lol.

Your car sat for 2 weeks and you are wondering what that will do to the seals and engine itself?
How do you tie your shoes in the morning with this overwhelming sense of concern? I mean, obviously then going on a 2 week vacation would lessen the life of your vehicle. And the transport time on the ship between Europe and America? OMG the seals would be messed up upon delivery! Oh, right, you must be wearing velcro shoes. ... This was totally said in jest. Hope you take it lightheartedly. Sitting for two weeks represents absolutely zero problem for a car. |

You shouldn't have a problem if the car sits for two weeks. Two months? Different story.
As for @Lups ie issues, nobody will ever get to that level, only she can manage that LMAO!!!!

I'm in Pharma research and development, not a mechanic. What's your excuse for not knowing this stuff again?
Don't worry though: I've read the same concerns posted by others many times before. I mean, usually those others are 19 year old high school drop outs (due to being idiots, not dropped out because it was the right move). And it's usually on the Nissan 240sx-named-silvia forums. But I've totally seen those same concerns before. ... I need more coffee. |

Its a car, a machine, please stop treating it like you are on a first date with the prom queen, it is not!
At the same time, I do hope all problems are solved with the new diff. Please just focus on enjoying what you have |

As Sa stated below, he has the trousers arrangement approved by me, fiance is handling it all. No man should be in charge in the times of these huge crises of life. No man, or I.

Well, it would only be worse if I get the parts fetched and installed from IND, and I can figure out the old rims back from Cali, and if the dear old spouse won't find out about me by accident ending up with Morrs and THEN the engine blows up, or the car goes in flames due to the seat light. Yes, I win this race by miles.

For reference, my E36 M3 with 165K miles on it sometimes sits for months(here in dry hot Phoenix) between track events (at which I beat the living piss out of it).
Your brand new M4 will be fine sitting for a couple of weeks. |
