Is it not the same procedure to take apart the grill and the surrounds of the grill of the OEM?

Be careful, may or may not work - I have been told by (3) different vendors that their aftermarket grill surrounds DO NOT fit to the OEM slat portion

The aftermarket surrounds/slats use same style attachment method between the two as OEM, but apparently are not necessarily made in exact same positions as OEM. So you may get lucky, or you may not...

Now if you are using OEM surrounds & OEM slats you are good to swap n go

Personally, I would either go with all OEM, or all aftermarket, & save the possible hassle
