Do it! Honestly though, choosing full back leather is something I'm pleased/relieved I did every time I jump in.

This. See what I mean, not helpful.

I pretty much have to do it now because my brain is already rationalizing the cost. Plus I saw the extra leather that goes around the speaker on the door panel. Looks a lot better than the soft touch material on extended.

I have extended and quite happy with it. Just a touch of class and not too luxurious. That's not to say full leather isn't nice, it is. But my OCD nature would've freaked out about any little scratch or imperfection caused by unsuspecting passengers with long nails, watches, and jewelry with sharp edges..my better half-wifey!

BTW Nobody seems to mention the full leather comes with the contrasting bands if you order the right colors. Makes the interior much nicer looking. Sakhir orange gets banded with black on the doors and dash which looks awesome! With extended, it's all monochrome... Well worth the investment, the car with full leather starts looking like a Ferrari inside.

This is incorrect. Extended leather also comes with contrasting stitching.

Does full leather makes your car heavier than extended version?

For sure, there won't be contrasting stitching where there is no leather

Do note that, even with full leather, there is no contrasting stitching on the upper portion of the doors. As for the dash, contrasting stitching is only found on the instrument cluster surround an lower portion of the dash. The top portion of the dash has black stitching.

Yes.

Is it significant? Probably not.

Is there a difference between Full Leather and Individual Full Leather aside from color/stitching choice?

LOL at this question

If you're asking about weight, just get a stripper model. And see if they'll remove the A/C as well.

For MY17, no. It's become more confusing (and led to a fairly large number of angry customers) when ///M's were switched from Nappa to Merino Leather. The latter has been exclusively for use by BMW Individual so "technically" every Fxx M vehicle with leather has Individual interior (and one member is definitely going to raise hell over that statement). F10 550 LCI clients that ordered Individual interior got the rawest deal though. Nappa Dash became standard, but when spec'ing Individual Extended, the dash remained leather, but the door caps came in textured vinyl instead of leather. Made for a very unattractive aesthetic.

Prior to the Fxx cars, it was far easier to know what was covered with leather. The choices were Standard Leather, Extended Leather, and Complete Leather.

Full leather or bust, was one of the main things I immediately ordered. Can't do plastic if the option is there for leather. I had extended Oyster Shell interior in my '15 328i, when I moved for MY16 M4 ZCP, I couldn't pass up the option for the full leather package. So much more intimate inside.

What year is your car? I have full SO leather on a 2016 F80 and was expecting this black chrome strip that goes around the entire front and sides of the car, but mine has this cheap matte black plastic instead. I'm trying to figure out why. I have carbon trim just like the photo.

I think he means the door trim part - mine is black chrome on the dash, but matt black plastic on the doors - the photos above appear to be black chrome on the doors, or is the lighting playing tricks?

I believe that M3 and M4 are different. The pictures were M4.
