P1496 code thrown: Colds start idle

Anyone ever had this issue with cold start?

The car started fine however idles very roughly for about 25-30 seconds. The RPM swings between 500-1000 sounding and feeling as if it were about to stall.

I haven't had a chance to run ISTA yet, however I pulled the code off of my scanner

- no tune
- catback exhaust and high flow (oiled) filters only

P1496 Cold start idle air control system RPM Implausible.

Mine does that sometimes as well, I think its just how they react when they are cold. Never throws a cold but idles a bit ruff sometimes.

Vacuum leak? check filter install make sure everything is tight?

The past few months my car was having intermittent rough cold starts when the ambient temps were below 40 degrees F. Then the other day, my car finally threw this code. The car still drove fine the rest of the day. Anyone else have this issue? Find any solutions?

Hi, I got the same issue with my grand coupe with similar engine code popped up. Have you ever resolved that issue if so what was the fix as the internet is very shy on this code. Your reply would be very appreciated.
