I'll bite. I don't mind admitting it. Optioned fully, add in CCB, Custom BMW Individual color match (not off-the shelf BMW Individual color), BMW Individual leather with contrast stitching etc. After that, mount it on gunmetal HRE's and you are looking at well north of $90k. "Worth" is in the eye of the beholder. I want a one of a kind car.. You can go weeks without seeing another RS4 because of a limited production run.. Which is not what BMW does with the M's. I want a more unique M, not some alpine white carbon copy of something every Saudi college student has in this town. I don't want an M5. I sure as hell don't want an M6 (looks like crap IMHO). I really don't like Porsche either. No other car I really want, so I might as well make it my own.

Not as a standard option, but might be through Individual for added cost. Only leather colors look to be black, Sakhir Orange, Sonoma Beige and Silverstone.

Based on the pricing in the military sales flyer, max price without Individual options looks to be $88,350 for the F80 and $90,550 for the F82 (including destination for both.)

Sorry guys I mistaken the Sonoma Beige for the Amaro Individual color (what I called Cocoa accidently!)
Does anyone have pictures of the Sonoma Beige? I may just go with black leather if that is the case or the cloth interior but can't find a picture of the cloth either...

I wish they would make the back up camera a stand alone option.
Parallel parking in the city would be so much easier with it but I don't want most of the other items included in the package. |

Same here, I want back up camera and HUD...the rest is actually stuff I do NOT want? It's a bummer.

You can always go aftermarket on the rear backup camera but I agree, $3900 is a lot to spend for things you don't want

Based on how I am building out my M4, the MSRP (before ED discount) is essentially the same as a similarly equipped 2013 M3 Coupe ($75,900 for M4 vs. $75,845 for M3 E9x Coupe). This assumes no Gas Guzzler tax on the M4 and the reduced cost of the H/K Premium Sound on the M4 vs. the M3 Premium Sound option:
2015 M4 Build: $64,200 MSRP $925 D&H $550 Metallic Paint $3,900 Exec Pkg $2,900 M DCT $1,000 Adaptive Suspension $1,200 19" Wheels $875 Premium Sound $350 Enhanced Bluetooth / Smartphone $75,900 Total MSRP 2013 M3 Build (2013 MY pricing as of 7/2012): $60,100 MSRP $895 D&H $1,300 Gas Guzzler Tax $550 Metallic Paint $4,350 Premium Pkg $2,900 M DCT $2,500 Competition Pkg $750 Cold Weather Pkg (heated seats std in F8x; Other items incld in F8x Exec Pkg) $1,900 Enhanced Premium Sound $250 BMW Apps (assumes this is either std in F8x or incld. w/ Enhanced Bluetooth) $350 Sat Radio (included in F8x Exec Pkg) $75,845 Total MSRP Granted, the M3 Coupe as built includes the Competition Pkg, but the M4 above includes the Adaptive M Suspension and 19" Wheels that were part of the Competition Pkg. At the end of the day this is all somewhat academic. What really matters is how the driving dynamics of the F8x compare to the E9x M3. BTW, I also considered the Cayman S / Boxster S before putting a deposit down on an M4. It goes without saying that the Cayman / Boxster are amazing cars, but I could not justify spending north of $85k for a similarly equipped P-car with less practicality (the M4 will be my only car / daily driver).

Can you elaborate on this please? I'd really love to have one of the elegant blues from the 4-Series line instead of the ugly Smurf blue they've chosen for the Ms. Is this possible?
/edit Just saw tanzanite blue metallic as an option in the Canadian guide. Everybody do the happy dance with me! Last edited by jrmoore; 01-17-2014 at 11:55 AM.. |

Jealous! Wish I were still in the military... I made a killing buying my 135i when I was stationed in Germany.

I guess it should be obvious, but you have to get the executive pkg for Sirius? Seems silly for $64,000 base to not have Sirius, although my e92 didn't either, I think it was like $250.

Hey guys, stop posting non-military build prices in this thread, it's getting confusing. There are other threads for that.
With that said, I'm sad that I can't order comfort access as a stand alone option. I'm not forking out the money for the exec package. Guess I'll have to put my hand in my pocket to unlock the doors. |
