United Auto Care extended warranty?

Was in the market for a BMW and saw that the seller had 6 yrs/100k Platinum extended warranty through United Auto Care. I couldn't find any further information on it. Anyone familiar with United Auto Care extended warranty?

Found this online. Not sure if still current or not.

Same ugly surprises that most find in EW.

Rental car only covered if 4.0+ hours of labor covered parts and then only for 1 day. Diagnostic charges you are responsible for. Doubt they pay shop fee as it’s not listed as covered.

An even uglier one in this one is they only pay average price for labor in market, meaning most likely will not pay entire labor rate at BMW Dealership.

Interesting enough, they have tire coverage which I have not seen before. Of course it’s only $25 for repair or $100 for a new tire.

But then again, better than nothing.

Yelp only gives the a 2.0, lol, but only 9 reviews. Might want to read them.

If serious about the car, ask the seller for a copy of the policy agreement and review it. United Auto could be a lot of things, from a policy marketed by United Auto Group that is underwritten by someone else, to a policy from United Car Care or United-Auto-Warranty.com (or none of those).

A copy of the policy is always a good idea, however, all info is pretty clear on this one.

BTW, on a second read, I noticed they do not cover transmissions, lol, which is probably the second largest expenses after an engine.

That very well may be the applicable policy but hard to know with certainty if “United Auto Care” is a policy from United Car Care or another company without seeing the policy the seller plans to transfer. If the policy posted is a representative policy, agreed it is terrible.

Fidelity seems like one of the best for a DCT
Platinum is exclusionary. Go to their site to see the list of items not covered.
