Alright, then that's probably the reason why they pulled the article. I was planning to trade in my F83 for a new order with it but maybe I should wait for more details.

Is ride height the same or lowered slightly? I remember with the E92 I couldn't get the Comp up my driveway as I live in the hills. While I'm not a fan of 20" rims, at least they are forged this time like the regular cars. That was the big mistake on the E92 Comp, beautiful CSL-styling but cast so inferior to the standard 18s and 19s.
Devilzmantis- I thought Comp was unavailable in convertibles? I could well be wrong. |

I feel like a car magazine shouldn't make claims like "Power rises by a small and not hugely significant 19bhp thanks to a minor redesign of the cylinder head" without being 100% sure, this comes out of the blue, I think none of us have heard of this before and they better be right

I'd trust all the details that BMW USA has already released. If the cylinder head was redesigned, we would have known. Hell the GTS didn't even get a redesigned cylinder head as far as I know, so why would the Comp Pack cars?

BTW, the 18" 219M and 260M wheels were also cast on the E9X and were heavier than the 19" forged 220M.

I'm assuming the article was pulled because it was released too early (which explains the other article being pulled as well which had no mention of cylinder heads).

Every time I read articles about a topic that I am very familiar with, I am stunned by the quantity of false information. Makes you really wonder how much you should trust articles on topics you are not familiar with .

Well, the initial leaked reviews, while having inaccuracies as noted, have made me hopeful that the CP does what I hoped it would: tame some of the tendency for abrupt tail-out behavior and possibly allow the power to be put down more effectively. These are the only things the F8X needs - I don't think it needs more power, etc.

Or how much you can trust their thoughts on how the car handles, feels, etc. The same people that bash the M4/M3 for being tail happy, rough around the edges all of a sudden love that stuff in an M2? Gimme a break.

In essence, based on those two reviews, the CP seems to make the M3/4 slightly more focused on performance, sacrificing some comfort in the process.

And you also called it about the power upgrade being at the top end of the RPM's.

Didn't really cross my mind to do that, but it actually doesn't look horrible... Is there an easy way to black out the rims but still be able to reverse it if it's a lease?

Those M2 reviews were all terrible honestly - comparing a Euro spec M2 to a US Spec M4 is bad juju; the US spec M2 is only 25 lbs lighter!!!!
