The cloth seats are fantastic in this car.
Post #2 in this thread: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1000685 Captures what you see when you get in the car in the morning. It is perfectly suited to this car because it's neutral, purposeful and not distracting. Put the money you save toward a nice leather sectional for your man cave. |

By the way, that merino leather is going to be difficult to keep up.
I saw one with ~2400 miles on it of normal wear and the bolster on the driver's side already had a 4" stretch worn through the dye. Of course, my carbonstructure interior currently has two baby seats in it....so we'll see how that goes

OP I don't have the full leather, and I really want it every day. But truth to be said, I never have time to look at the dash, when I go into Peter, I do that to drive and not to pamper him. Just to make sure you don't take my advises too seriously, I will admit having conversations with the radar detector.

I'm looking forward to seeing the cloth. I've got the leather-everwhere thing going on in my M5, and I do love it. It fits the car's character. I'm not excited about having 2 full-leather cars however. I also not in love with the standard leather colors so far. As it stands I will either do full-leather individual (gold or amaro brown) or cloth. If one of my preferred leather colors becomes a standard option, my choice will become more difficult. I'm actually leaning more towards cloth right now...

It's only cost effective if you go non exec and cloth. Having the hud previously I couldn't go without on this car. |

I would have went cloth if it were not for my wife. If I brought home a 68k car home w/o at least extended leather I would never hear the end of it! At just under 1k it actually is not a bad deal. The leather is MUCH better than the Dakota in the 3 & 4s.
I don't think you can go wrong either way. If I were you I'd wait until you get to see it in person if it is that important to you. I'm doing the same on colors. I need to see them before I order. Good luck!

Carbonstruture Cloth interior, any of you guys regret getting it?
I took my Silverstone M3 with this interior and I honestly thought it was different and neat at first but now I am second guessing it.
Every single person I know personally has made a remark as to why I bought a 75k car and didn't get full leather seats etc. there is a valid point to this but am I the only one who is dealing with this nonsense from friends and co workers? I mean the colors and combo of the carbonstructure interior was not even close to my 1st choice but I have been enjoying my car for a few weeks now and didn't need the burden of having my order constantly push back til February. Like to hear some of you impressions or regrets if any on choosing this interior choice. Last edited by Carcollector212; 10-09-2014 at 06:32 PM.. |

I got the executive package in mine to get all the gizmos and cameras and what not for DD.
With those options you don't get a choice and have to get full leather. To be honest, I would have preferred the fabric as that is what seats in a sports car should be made of. There is no slipping and sliding on fabric in corners. I say you made the right choice! |

My son just got some pre halloween chocolate on the back seat and was quite easy to clean. I dig the seats some of my other cars always had alcantara which in essence is a man made cloth material. I hated the way alcantara wears on seats and steering wheels, after 1 year it looks horrible,

When I was test driving, one of the cars I drove had the CC interior and I was
surprised how comfortable the seats were. The cloth looked good and felt right, I wouldn't worry what anybody says, I'm sure you will be very pleased with your decision to go with the CC interior. |

TBH, it's kinda weird how much people on this forum care about what others think. Just do you.
