Planning to get a new set of shoes for the car - love the Volk but want a different look!

Stay tuned....this is how she sits now with the Volk Ultra Edition 19" / 20" GTS fitment, debating if I should sell these or keep them for the new 2017 NSX (assuming they would fit)

Next up is a new set of shoes, stay tuned for some different wheels. The Volk Ultra Edition are really awesome wheels but want a different look, hence these are up for sale, less than 1000 miles on them!

loving the rims.. but I'm not a big fan of roof spoiler, reminds me of the 90s.

here's a better shot of the custom hand made CF rock guardz:







They serve a functional purpose but also gives the rear of the car an extra wide "stance" that pulls the entire rear nicely. Without them, the rear meaty tires would just stick out and appear to look odd IMO. Love this mod, and the lowest cost


Side by Side, Dakar Yellow really holds it's own against my Arancio Borealis color, both pop nicely and when parked next to each other, eye catching for sure...

One of my greatest fears daily driving the car is rush hour traffic and some idiot too busy texting to smash in the back of my car.

You'd think a yellow car is bright enough but my brother's yellow IS300 got hit 5 times from behind in a period of 2 years!

I've been thinking to build a custom 3rd brake light system that uses a high power red strobe light. I wanted the light to draw attention to the car at a stop similar to what my motorcycle uses and a pulsing light always helps. I have one on my NSX and it really helps with that car being so low.

I decided to have the light pulse 3 times, then go solid with the brakes depressed. I'll need to shoot a video and have someone help me do this later but spent the better part of 4 hours to get this all installed last night. For those interested, I may build some extras but for now quite happy!

It uses a high power red LED strobe light and is quite stealthy when not turned out. I didn't want it on during parking lights (while car is moving) so the light is only activated when I brake.

Quite happy with this setup, the light is not cheap since this isn't an E-bay special part but I wanted something extremely bright.

I've seen an F80 on the road with this. It blinks then turns solid red as your idea describes. I personally think if someone has their heads down texting, regardless of where the brake light is, they're still going to rear-end you. But more power to you if you can make your idea work!

thanks - yes we are well aware of this item but don't like the diffuser.

The quality of that LED is not so bright since my buddy has it, we wanted to use a high quality high output light and eventually settled on an industrial grade LED housing light.

Keep in mind this is not the final light design, (note one side is covered in black tape) as we will have a new model that will be replacing this one. The pictures are a mockup while we test the operation right now.

I still think it being placed on the diffuser is not that effective being so low. You should make a license plate frame that lights up or something. I would have suggested the spoiler but that would require drilling.

I'd have to agree here. I like the idea in principle but the position is a bit too low. Additionally you could code the brake force display to flash where it would actually be more visible to drivers.

License plate is an interesting idea - wouldn't be hard to do, let me give it some thought on how to engineer the brackets....hmmm

Right now keep in mind the light is 50% covered in electrical tape because it's blue so I ordered a new light that is 100% red so that will help with the intensity as these are industrial grade lights.


I was out earlier taking kids to abacus class and ran into this NSX owner, pretty stoked since we have one expected to take delivery soon. The funny thing is while I was taking this picture, out of the corner of my eye I saw 2 other cars taking pics of the cars LOL
