So, in conclusion:

1. The guys who have owned one say, "Buy it."
2. The guys who haven't owned one say, "Don't buy it."
3. The guys who are married say, "Why haven't you bought it yet?"

BTW, is the dealer offering any type of extended warranty?

I decided to take it out for a drive
I hope it will be long enough to help me make up my mind. Either way... Thanks everyone for great input!

Great car, but getting to be a little dated. I've had my 09 since new. The only mod I would recommend for a daily driver is an oil cooler, as they can run hot in traffic. At some point they put a small oil cooler on the car, but I forget which year.

It does need a lot for track work, but for the street its all overkill. Mine is strictly a race car and has been extensively modified. 342 rwhp with bolt ons, ac delete and a tune.

Also changing the plastic CSC also requires the trans to be dropped so you might as well upgrade the clutch while you are in there anyway. I love the powerband of a fully tuned vq35hr & vq37vhr. It revs out like a 911.
Compared to the s65 the vq37vhr felt like a pig. Car was fine until 90k ish then master and slave gave out. I religiously changed out the fluid every time it started to turn black in the reservoir which imo helped prolong the failure.

Traded a 370 on the m3. Fun car. Felt small but weighed a lot....pretty tossable though. Terrible blind spot and prone to over heating when pushed.

Well yeah a v6 is going to feel sluggish compared to a larger v8 with ITB's

Who cares about what everyone says on this forum? It's your money, spend it your way.

To the mass majority of Euro-FTW bandwagoners, the comments and feedbacks are going to be relative the same. Same could be said if you asked the same in a Nissan forum. Truth to be told, these are excellent sports car at a very affordable price. They handle well, has power (relative term) when you need it, and you will never wake up the next day thinking whether if your engine is going to grenade on you today or not. Sure, they are not as accelerating to drive as the Euro turbo cars. Then again you have to remember that the 370z is putting down a stealthy 300hp from just a NA V6. Imagine if you put on a relative smaller size turbo, similar to the N54 ones, what kind of power will the car put down? Now, I get people want to compare baseline and modification is not everyone's cup of tea. But when you look at the value proposition between them, there's honestly very little not to like about the 370z.

Well, they sold it before I had a chance to have a closer look.
Didn't take long... the car was immaculate.

I still have to drive one... now that I got curious about them.
Once again, thanks for all the info.

Test drove one. Did not like the engine much at all. I thought it was overall worse than N54 and N55 and put to shame by the S54.

For what it's worth, I compared closely between the 09 328i and 09 Infiniti G37 (370z's cousin). Bought the G37. I had it until 4 weeks ago. Loved it.

its a really fun car.. sound the feeling with manual transmission its even more fun.. natural aspirated engine all fun is in that car with rear wheel drive.. 1 series is fun but less than 370Z.. unless you want to see the BMW logo on the wheel everytime you drive.. i d go for 370Z you can sell whenever you want anyway..

not to sound harsh but the engine is...well harsh
kinda sounds like a coffee grinder over 4000 rpm
i traded my 350z for a crossfire and liked it better🤔
that says a lot....
