You still rocking an E92 or did you change it up?
My car showed up on myBMW today They even got the color right. Sadly it's even more dumbed down than I last remembered it. No status codes so if I want detail I have to call somebody. I'm probably better off not even looking for a while.

So I’m torn. I’m contemplating a YMB/SS zcp or BSM/SO zcp... My wife doesn’t think YMB is a color I can live with.. I have loved it since I set my eyes on it. I think it gives the F80 character and pop like an exotic. Has anyone regretted YMB/SS?

^ I couldnt go with SS just due to the various threads about it getting so dirty. I had an Estoril Blue E36 with grey interior when I was younger and always wished it was black interior.
This time around I'm going YMB with Black. I wanted the Yas stitching but it added too much time to the build I was told |

Congrats!!! NO MOONROOF! For me it really cuts down on the head room in the car. Im 6'1 and if there was a sunroof in my car the helmet would be rubbing the ceiling. Unless you like tracking your car in Snoop Dog Layed back mode. If your shorter you could easily get away with having a moon roof, but I have no regrets on the carbon top.

Yeah, good point on headroom... unless you're all leg, 6' is the limit with the moonroof in most bimmers. I just barely fit without having to lay back the seat from my normal position so I went with the utility of being able to get ventilation even in light rain.
If there was an option for a moonroof that didn't open completely, just vent, and saved an inch of headroom, I'd go for that. BMWUSA shows me at "production begins" with no options but the correct colors.

I have had a SS/SS F80 for almost 3 years as a DD, and I take it to the track on occasion. I almost went with YSB as I love that color, very unique! I called on my car like every 3 or 4 days once it went into production , the BMWNA folks are always nice. |

I have a VIN! If you hit the button to check for recalls it reveals the 7-digit serial number. Add that to the base digits from any other 2018 M3 and take a trip through a check digit calculator and Bob's your uncle.
Not that it does me any good yet since it hasn't hit the ETK system but that gave me something to do for a few minutes.

genius said it should exit production Feb 5. It entered production Jan 22. I think the VIN was there as soon as it entered production (status 150) but I didn't look until a couple days after. The base digits for a 2018 M3 seem to be WBS8M9C5, followed by the check digit, a J, and your 7-digit serial number. The serial number is really all you need for stuff like parts lookups, but to track your car in shipping you need the full VIN. I used http://www.alton-moore.net/vin_calculation.html to get the check digit. It's cool, he also explains how it's calculated for geeks like me.

Else, you can look it up on the carriers websites via the vin. Once you have the name of the boat you can spend the next two weeks of your life jamming the refresh on marine traffic Edit: there's also a great sticky thread that gets into much greater detail on this subject. I thought west coast boats were separate so they don't have to spend a week hitting east coast ports and then spend another week to get through the canal?
