Here in Canada, a loaded F30 335xi with M sport and M performance retails for north of $67,000. So if we can get a nicely equipped M3 for around $75 grand, I would be very happy

I'm ok with the price and it's what I expected but what are you guys smoking calling it extremely cheap etc? This new car has some new CF parts but a much more mainstream engine. The value isn't bad, it's decent but great or cheap? No.

Problem: I never met a BMW option I didn't like

Just built a m235 close to 50k! 435 msport vert $60k! Look at it that way m3 is a huge upgrade for peanuts.

I like that CA is part of the most common pkg now. Had a hard time finding CA cars in the past since it was a la carte.

More than $6k or about 10% increase. Rather hefty but expected. I stick to me estimate that the average build will be around $75k for these.
It's more of a luxury car this time around. Includes enhanced navigation, metallic paint, etc.

I need to know is Navi standard and is the base stereo poop? What is gonna be standard equipment on this car? What is the competition package gonna offer and how much? Also is ZCP even gonna be available at launch? Probably not gonna buy one but will be in an interesting posture to do so come June.

My August 2013 prediction was close...

Those who are whining that 70,000 Euro = over $90,000 USD, should read on.

Take a deep breath. You can't do a direct price conversion of Euro to USD from that 70,000 Euro price tag.

It will be priced slightly higher than the E92's base price.

This simple equation between the US and Euro price of the E93 M3 should help decipher what that 70,000 Euro price translates to for the US market.

68,750/75,900 = X/70,000

Solve for X.

X = $63,405.80

SNIG's base price estimate for the M4 Coupe is $63,500.

SNIG's base price estimate for the M3 Sedan is $60,500. Slightly higher than the E92 M3 Base Price.

Remember, the F30/F32 platform has wayyyyyy more crazy options than the E90/E92 M3s. So expect fully loaded M3/M4s to push close to $80k USD.

Let's take a look at E90/E92 Pricing.

At the peak of production the 2011 M3 Sedan was $3k less than the Coupe.

Currently, there is a price difference of $2800 between the 2013 335i and 435i. The 328i and 428i, a difference of $3400.

An average difference of $3100. So I think it is safe to estimate a similar $3000 base price difference between the M3 and the M4.

If it includes options like Navi & Metallic paint in the base price, yeah, it's a good deal considering inflation and other content.

The options list the posted earlier does not show Nav so I have to figure it's standard. Comp packs normally come at the refresh correct? I doubt there will be one in this first model.

Looks about right, wonder if nav will be standard though? I doubt it but would be nice. I'm thinking AW FTW.

I know that part, but it's not a 4 door, so there's no M3 competitor from Lexus. . . for now.

So let me get this right. The new rule on cars is you cannot compare a 2 and 4 door even if they are in the same price range ?

It will be interesting to see what this M brings to the table over the Corvette...it's gonna be a FUN year!!!!!
spoiler alert - the M3 won't be able to keep up with the vette. nor does it have to
I know that much but what will it do that will force me to choose IT over the C7. The overall package has always been the M's parting piece. Now the Corvette seems to have quite a strangle hold on that with value which it always had.

was just thinking about that.

Tell me ED orders don't come out of dealers allocation and i will really lose it . Great news about the pricing tho only options i need are

Executive
Lighting
Adaptive suspension(why is this not standard?)

Still debating on 19" black rims and HK, do we have any pics of the 18 inch rims and is HK really worth the price?

Hasn't metallic paint always been a $500 min. adder? New to M3/M4 discussions, probably shooting for CY2016/MY2017 for me.

Going really lean: M3, DCT, cloth, 18's, maybe metallic paint depending if they add a better blue, otherwise, MW/AW and euro delivery. Nav's a bonus if standard.

Will be interesting if LCI hits then. Hopefully, around mid $60k including taxes and fees. Going to be a long 2 years....

On the track Vette will win but as an everyday car and in the twisties the M3 might be just as much fun or more

So it looks like NAV is a standard (included)

I want a base F80 + 19" wheels and paint option

I thought I was set on the M235i but the base pricing for the F80 changed my mind
