I have to say - I had a lot of reservations with going with a "loud" color like AY...

But now that I pulled the trigger - I am sooooo damn happy I did it!!!!!

I made change from aw to ymb today.
It's gamble, but I think this new loud colors will suit the car well.

WHITE CARS ARE PISSING ME OFF... EVERYONE HAS WHITE here in LA.. or GREY.. or BLACK.. but mostly WHITE. MORE WHITE. EVERYWHERE... but yet I STILL ordered MW on SO. MORE OF U, SWITCH and I'll be pussy and stay that way less white F8X's on the road.

Fuck this, I'm getting a different car. This color dilemma makes me not want the F8X anymore.

Just get what you want - f the peer pressure - that is why I went with AY despite what my wife and my oldest kid said (my youngest kid said AY all the way)!!!!

I don't trust your resolve until you post pics after delivery. You seem like you are trying to convince yourself and there's too much time left yet back out.

I'm just kidding with you of course. I applaud anyone who takes the plunge and goes with a polarizing choice. Good for you.

All loud colors are fine as long as you can stand the constant comment.
People just make comments even when you don't ask for them. My friends wife was commenting how ugly a Laguna Seca Blue is. Personally I think it looks great and some people are just conservative. I would sport a loud color any time and day as I could give a rat's hoot of what they think. :-)

Congrats on your new upcoming car. Everyday it's looking more and more promising.

I went with an AY/Blk M4 as well... I am coming from a MR M3 and I used to LOVE having the only MR car at meets. White and Black and Silver are a dime a dozen.. Yes something like AY is not for everybody but, I am glad its not for everybody. If done right, this car is going to look awesome! If you dont mod it at all then it might just look like a bad color choice. Here is how I plan to hook my AY M4 up:

1. 5% ceramic tint all around (black interior is going to get hot)
2. Blacked out kidneys, side vents, and M4 badge
3. CF front lip and rear spoiler
4. CF mirror caps
5. 20in BC Forged HB29's (pic below)

Oh I made a nice signed note to my dealer saying that I will not put him through this again. I have ruined this forum for weeks just by making stupid and rash comments on everything concerning colors, and I'm beyond amazed you guys have not kicked me out already. Please don't, I don't want to go trough life actually communicating with people IRL, this is more fun!

I will need to see the pictures also before I believe me. This has turned my world around, I never cared about these things before, and now I spend time thinking over the options like LED's and using words like mascara while writing about them. I deserve your skepticism to the fullest.

Now, if the idea of full leather would just stop haunting me...

You have a point, but I think after the delivery I'll just try to go back acting like an adult, and I can't risk modding. I have understood that that's a world of endless possibilities, and if a color was this hard, I can't open that door.

If I see you in traffic though, I want you to know that the growling is nothing personal, I just have a bad way of expressing jealousy, and I really hardly ever bite. Still, just roll on, I don't want to risk a law suit.

Omg that will look killer

I have always loved Melbourne on the E92. I honestly think it was the best color.
