One of the first and few features I've coded using the "off the shelf" solution. Goes well with the "Comfort Close" where the windows also roll up using the remote (already works with the roll down, don't know why the roll up isn't factory programmed.

The only way this can be achieved is to get that feature coded. There a many features that you can code at the same time.

That's not exactly true. There are aftermarket modules you can buy that have that feature included so you don't have to code anything.

Example is I have an exhaust valve controller that also has additional features beside allowing me to control the valve position. It also does auto Mirror fold and windows, etc.

I tap a button on my steering wheel stalk to open valve, close valves or go back to car controlled position. In addition the mirrors fold on door lock and open when you open door.

So there are other ways to do it.

I guess it's good to be old sometimes... that's more than I pay for 2 cars. (But not both M3s)

I switched to Progressive when we got a 3rd car since State Farm wouldn't give us a break on the fair-weather-only Z3. Sadly even P won't give me a break on a garage queen E90. I need to see if I can put the Z3 on a classic-car policy since it's super low annual mileage.

829 every six months. Full coverage, 500k csl liability, um, uim. Clean driving record. A little steeper than I'm used to, but Progressive is most competitive.

Um, yeah, an Accord is cheaper to insure than an M3.

You are right...by less than $50 per year. Already quoted per my agent (in house) with VIN. But I'll take your response as a compliment! Thanks

My 2018 M3 is on order...

But don't feel too bad... I'm in my 30's, married, multicar and premium coverage, no tickets or accidents, in rural NY- and I found a badazz agent I've been with for last few years. My 2014 Q50S was right around same premium. Full coverage, plus a Million dollar umbrella policy.

I guess it's all relative but even at $8.50/L I don't think $60 is that much money for an M car oil change. Also, you didn't specify where you bought the oil so I mentioned that you can get BMW spec oil at places other than the dealership for significantly less money. Just trying to help out.
I think one of you is talking rate of drainage and the other total volume.

Use of the erroneous terminology might be the source of the confusion here.

The head-up display is really cool. Changing radio channels for example, can see them in the HUD and don't have to look at the iDrive screen.

Cell Phone Mute

I haven't seen this (in almost a year of ownership) but I'll share, I programmed the quick button (8) to mute and un-mute my cell phone..

At last I can just press one button while on conference calls to mute my side of the call without fumbling with the freaking I drive. - much quicker.

I'm sure there is a better way but this work freaking great.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but pop the hood and there is a grey plastic bracket next to the hood latch release. It looks like some type of bracket that holds the front part of the top headlight housing. They put stiffening ribs all over and on the top, I noticed they managed to detail the ribs with ///M logo. Brilliant.

Unless you use the M head-up display, radio info goes to the screen in between the odo and tach.
