Depending on how they price the .2 RS and what it has, the .1 may swing down (or maybe back up). |

I would actually be tempted to buy at $90k and add it to the GT3. The GTS is a really cool car but BMW's pricing team needed to bump the MSRP up enough to make room for the comp pack and CS. But, they ended up with a price a little too high. ~$100k would have been perfect for a GTS and would be considered a bargain and generated more demand (dealer could sell at ADMs). Same strategy for selling a house, price a little below market price, get multiple offers and start a bidding war.
Acura flubbed its NSX pricing (but not the Civic R). You can get $20k-$40k off new right now. The NSX would've been a great car at $130k, not $170k. |

But if you look at 'as a percentage of total production', it will tell a different story |

22units for sale/800 total units = 2.75% of total GTS production still for sale, new, on the market. If I apply the same ratio to Acura NSX, I come up with a total production of over 6,800 NSXs based on 188 available for sale. . I do not think they made that many NSX. GTS wins! |

Again, not bashing any car, I would like to have a GTS even if it is just for it's novelty value. Just getting the facts straight. Back to the OPs question: a used GTS with less than 100 miles on it is worth as much as someone is willing to pay on a given day, in a given market. If the car is priced above that, it won't sell. If you have $110k right now today and the new and used competition does not interest you as much, you should go a buy a GTS and drive the hell out of it. But remember to keep some distilled water with you wherever you go |

The only way the GTS coulda been worse than the NSX is if they waited 9 more years offered the same power, charged 20k+ markups and tried to advertise it as a car of today lol |

I finally picked one today. Absolutely fine automobile with all options in by default so for me it was a no brainer. I had optioned a M4 competition with the all the goodies and was already breaking 87k mark so in my mind, prices now are a steal for whatever units are left. GTS is tuned and with full warranty and maintenance, what more does one want?

Fully agree but it is not twice the value when it was originally reviewed. Believe me, there is a big difference and you will see once you drive it. I purchased mine around that. I don't think a new one with 100 miles will ever go for 87k. Used ones, just like any other car will depreciate.

Yes, they are used. Nowhere did I say they were new and the OP is looking for used, so... Plus, they both have less miles than your car so if you’re curious on the value of that Oh, and many, many would disagree with your opinion on the GT4. Just look at the used market and number produced vs. GTS. You don’t have to be the GTS’ guardian angel ya know. |

Anyway, for that kind of money you should buy new: two of them on sale for $114,900 on cars.com (only $5,000 over the price you quoted). And, yes, I maintain the GT4 is not at the same level in terms of performance. Just check the reviews and stats on both. The Gts was way overpriced a few months ago. It is now a good value at this price level compared to a GT4. That is all I was saying... Last edited by jpdchicago; 10-11-2017 at 08:57 PM.. |
