Cool pics- from the 'back to the future' wheels on the one car- anyone know what type of testing equipment that is?

I also noticed on of the cars had mismatched tires front and back- PSS on the back and something else on the front.

What do we think the chances are that BMW won't actually select ONE engine for the new M3, but rather offer a choice to consumers?

I chose the 335 (and 335is) over the M3 because to me it was a better value. Better fuel economy, and faster for every day driving. However I would have loved to have the M3 trim and LSD, and the DCT (which is why I upgraded to a 335is.) Had the previous M3 been available with the smaller turbo engine I would have gone that direction.

Very slim. I could imagine that maybe, but only maybe, they offer different engines for M3 (sedan) and M4 (coupe, convertible), but most certainly not different engines for the same model.

With all eyes on the F30 and F10 M5 recently, maybe they just haven't been looking hard enough.
Practically all BMW spyshots are photographed during the day when all the new Hardware is moved to test tracks and centres at night under the cover of darkness.

I mean what is happening with the photographers are they all at home watching Glee?

This car would be great if it wasnt for the eletromagnetic steering..I bet all reviews will be great except for the lack of feeling, just like the M5.

The M5 does have hydraulic steering.

It sounds like a V6.

Larger displacement, possibly 3.4-3.8L?

I'm calling it now.

If you hadn't put a deposit on the car, it's open slather until someone does. Even a few hundred dollars would have sealed the deal. If you were both in the dealership with different salesmen, and the other guy gets in before you, would you think the same?

I had the same with an e46 m3 almost a year ago. I rang on the Saturday and said I'd get a Pre-Purchase done on the Monday, and I got a call Sunday saying someone put a deposit on it.

Money talks, you should have put money down.
