I can tell you that there is no way in hell I am buying the new m3 unless it has 450 horsepower at the very LEAST. Sorry 400 or 415 just does not cut it when everyone is going bigger.
Sadly the only choices for a high strung NA motor is becoming porsche, audi and ferrari and lambo of course. Ill just jump into an R8 v10 when the next gen comes out. 400 hp m3 will simply get slaughtered by teh competition |

I'm interested to see how its tuned when its put in the ATS-V. I think it will make 450/435 or somewhere around that.
I wouldn't worry about the CTS-V anymore. It'll probably be 600+hp and a good bit more expensive than the current one. Last edited by See5; 03-18-2013 at 10:48 PM.. |

Often GM hp is Sae verified. Well the ATS 2.0t is verified and claimed at 272hp and smiler torque yet the 328 n20 dynos as much or more even though its rated at 240hp.
So if the M3 is rated at 415hp, I am willing to bet It will still dyno for more than the 420hp rating of the new 3.6TT.

It is but I found out the m3 will almost definetly come with a sliding armrest given that I did not know the e90 3 series in the US did not have one except for the m3 which I have. So yes if they don't have that feature I will not get one regardless. If they do then I will only get one if they have 450 hp or more.

I did didnt I.
Its just ridiculous how easy it is to drive those car's fast and how out of touch they feel. GT-R forum peeps hated when i said i was selling the car because it felt electronic and numb, i got so bored of daily driving it and tracking that i completely lost the passion i had for that car. And this is a car i have always wanted to own since the R32 GT-R version was around, you start to loose that passion the moment you dont feel involved with the driving and this tends to happen when manufacturers start putting hybrid system's mated to huge engines to meet fuel economy regulations as well as performance demands by the market. I think the HP race between audi, bmw, cadillac, and mercedes is ridiculous. I hope automakers go back to basics and start focusing on light weight technology instead of compensating with huge hp numbers, huge wheels, and brakes for their fat ass mess.

That is what Alfa Romeo has done with the 4C. What are the opinion? - basic interior - 4 cylinders - only 240 PS etc. |

The CTS-V is a very mixed bag. The engine power, suspension, and steering are great. The rest, not so much... Things like the fairly poor interior quality, big gaps between front bumper and headlights, a gearbox that's easy to mis-shift because 3rd and 5th are too close due to the placement of reverse, really bad fuel economy and range between visits to the gas station, heavy weight even though the car isn't particularly big or spacious.
