M4 GTS Water Injection Kit - Received Quote
Well,
Incase anyone is interested. Local BMW dealer did some digging for me. There are a few M4 GTS water injection kits in stock in Germany right now. Was really considering buying one and retrofitting it into my car rather than an Aquamist kit. The kit in total is roughly $10,000 CAD. 3 Injectors - $2,250 each 1 tank - $1,350 wiring etc - the rest of the balance of $10k. So basically, hell to the fuck no. |

Would like to know how many people would actually be interested in adding it for that price

What this means in the grand scheme of things is that once development is finished, you can ignore the "wiring etc - the rest of the balance of $10K. portion of the quote. |

I think someone did their math wrong (not the OP, I mean the others who are suggesting that saving money on the wiring is saving much)
Quote:
1 x 1350 = 1350 6750 + 1350 = 8100; 10000-8100 = $1900 in savings. $8100 for a water injection kit is still insane.

And you unfortunately would be incorrect. It is $2,250 per water injector for a grand total of $6,750... Where as you can get extra injectors from Aquamist for a "please include a few more injectors!" comment and about $50. This is almost as laughable as the $72/1oz of lubricant BMW tried to sell me for my door seals... |

I can get a complete Aquamist HFS-4 set up for $1,024 CAD delivered to my door. It will probably just as reliable but it won't have a BMW name tag applied or a fancy tub that fits in my spare tire slot. I really wanted that water tank though. Would have been a clean install. |

Aquamist tried tested and true. I will have it on my car as soon as PTF's OBD flasher is out to dial it in with. I've used it on my N54 and N55 with never a single issue. Why would anyone be interested in this I have no idea given costs. What would really be killer is if PTF opeed this up in their calibration so I can mess with it right from inside the ECU. Use Aquamist's hardware with factory ECU driven control. BMWs system for all I know may even be like an Aquamist one where a separate controller from the ECU is running it.
