One of the true joys of having a new and popular BMW M model released is that there are a lot of enthusiasts building their cars right alongside yours. Some end up very similar, yet with small distinct touches. Others might drastically diverge into worlds apart - and this concept is the basis for what you see here today. Yes, if you are wondering, we did struggle to resist the usual "ketchup and mustard" references!

While the team here at PSI knew well in advance that our M4 Club Sport project was bound for SEMA and beyond, through several drastic evolutions, our friend Joe started with an entirely different car, and then continued on his own path. While there are a few basic similarities between our two approaches - mostly in that they are both the current F8x platform - in some ways you couldn't ask for a greater contradiction. At their core, one is a yellow four-door M3 with manual transmission, and one is an orange two-door M4 with DCT. Night and day comes to mind.

If anything, our opposing processes and styles prove yet again that creativity plays a large part in the art of modifying a car, and two end results at opposite ends of the spectrum can certainly be appreciated by everyone involved. Rather than finding yourself stuck in the rut of having largely the same modifications as several others, realize that there are an ever-growing combination of colors, brands and variations out there - certainly far more than we have installed on these two M cars.

By staging a duel here today, even though each build is worlds apart, we can find a lot of common ground between these two polar opposites. We hope you can too!

Here are some closer detail shots from when we first installed the Remus exhaust with carbon fiber tips. The visual effect when paired with the Vorsteiner carbon fiber rear diffuser is fantastic!

Those shots were with the 19" Volk TE37s on OEM tire sizes last fall.

We will very shortly!

Recently we were privileged to attend our local Cars For The Cure event. As you can see, the turnout was great, and we were all happy to chat and enjoy some amazing cars while supporting a good cause! Our shop's M4 made an appearance as well as several of our friends and customers.

Enjoy the photos!

M4 Testing At Sebring

One of the most enjoyable parts of testing out new components and setups has to be the real-world trial period, when all the installations and tweaks begin to mean something tangible. For us, as BMW and motorsport enthusiasts, this meant taking our shop M4 to the 12-hr course at Sebring for a NASA HPDE/ TT event to see how our Clubsport setup and more specifically our triple-adjustable BC Racing coilover system functions in the grueling environment which is Sebring.

We were able to have an incredible amount of track time, with us being able to get in 4-5 25-minute sessions each day. This time gave us the feedback we needed to confirm the custom shock valving and spring rates we had selected for track use and dial in the brake pads on our Brembo GT Kit. We have been running these units for several months now, and while street driving gives you some input, there is nothing quite like pushing each element to its limit.

We also had the chance to run our other F80 M3 in NASA Time Trials and push the limits of what was a mostly-stock F80 M3. Doing this gives us the ability to log the performance of all of the mods we add to each F8x chassis and which ones perform best under heavy track use.

You'll also see our E36 chump car and our tech David out in his 1995 M3 race car. Enjoy the photos and stay tuned for more track testing and new race components from PSI!

Here are a few new shots of our M4 at dusk. We are still fine-tuning those new prototype triple-adjustable BC Racing coilovers!

I just read this thread from start to finish. What an amazing car and journal.

I've never considered the TE37 before, but I think the bronze wheels would look amazing on a Signal Green F80
