Don't understand why you guys thinks this is impossible. Seems like the F-series ECU is cracked already.

A company called BMW Tech in the UK claims to be able to tune all F-series cars - and they have done this for over a year now

And if I call Eurocharged they'll tell me they cracked my m5/m6 and can flash it today [press file re-badge].... The point most are making is given this topic [tricore ECUs being near uncrackable] to come on here with just a dyno and "162mph" [happy to send you one of 163] it really just is hearsay at this point.

I can only speak for myself, but if I had a company where there was a well deserved amount of skepticism surrounding the issue I might have solved [in this case the encryption levels]. I'd have come loaded with info, so that I could substantiate my findings, while still protecting my intellectual proprieties.

For most people who will never come near the limiter they see 162 and then they read on BMWs site "electronically limited to 155", and think OMG they got it. But if they pushed their stock cars that hard they'd see the speedo will go WELL over 155.

Mine sees an indicated 167 mph every other day on the Autobahn, stock. M Drivers package raises the limiter higher so show me a 185 mph indicated minimum and I may believe the car has been totally de restricted.

More than that I'd need to see GPS data the car is actually moving that fast... Because anyone can make the speed limiter go high.

It is one thing to be able to flash a file, whether it is a press file or not. It is another, if they can actually dyno tune a F8x car. Which I doubt they can do, no body has full access to the new BMW ecu's. There are companies out there that claim to have a flash tune for the M5. But they are really just reselling the competition package file.

I will say this: Not sure on the GSR guys because I don't know them or the shop but I did meet the owner of Jailbreak and it's not made up. It's legitimate. That's all I can say at the moment, but don't discount them yet.

Irrelevant is correct.

In the lastest Nick Murray video he ran his bone stock M4 above 180mph on a runway. So speed limiter removal is straight BS.
