Having driven 6mt exclusively for 15years and really having the mentality (manual or bust) I drive a 6mt on this particular power plant several times different days and conditions. I felt it more clunky than expected. The DCT is surprisingly better I feel on this power plant. Initially I was disappointed I didn't get a 6mt. But I really do enjoy this in. DCT

I do find it a little clunky unless the throttle it's in the comfort mode....But I still love it!

Yea I had a 6MT 330ci ZHP for the past 10 years. Could not get the M3 without 6MT. I was beating myself up about it for a month because my wife can't drive MT but between the fun factor and rarity it was def a must. Especially when I go to the BMW dealer in 2016 and tell him I'm looking for a used manual M3 and he told me I'm looking for a unicorn. I'm trying to get my father in law into a DCT M4 though. He seems set on the 440i though

Push him on the m4. There are plenty of good deals to be had on one just in the classifieds today and it's way worth the extra coin. It's just more impressive any way you look at it. Good luck !

Thanks man, yea he told me before hes been looking for a 435xi and his price was $30k. Today he tells me his range is $40k-$50k. Looked at an ad for $55k and said he could possibly do it...At that point I changed the search to M4s...His response was more insurance and not AWD It will be a long road to convert him to the M4 but he wants me to go with him when he buys it so I will definitely make sure he at least test drives one before any 435/440 purchase. Funny part is if he gets the 435/440 it must have the M Sport package so I was like well, this is the M so no need to worry about that option

Sixtydashone and I were at the Cars & Coffee this past Saturday @ the Malvern Wegmans. There were a couple other F8x's, a few M2's, and a handful of E92's in attendance.
