My SS with 12/15mm spacers and H&Rs

Love this thing.

Big thanks to Eric at Suprmem Power Parts for the hookups. Eric has been a friend for a very very long time. great guy, good shop. I got a ride in his 600hp white M3.. Wow.

As for this thing.. I wasn't gonna do a thing but for the money the stage 1 jb4 is a no brainier. It's just more juice everywhere. It's not like it's mking it impossible to hook up if you hve some throttle control but it's a clearly noticeable boost in power across the whole range.

The H&Rs were a late call while I was there. Putting springs in takes like 40 minutes so R&Ring a set to gain some knowledge was an easy call. You don't lose any of the adjustability of the dampers. Maybe sport is as tight as super sport and super sport is tighter now. It's done for looks if anything. The gaps were simply too big and while I could have lived with them, the car looks way better now. Be prepared to baby the crap out of your car if you lower it over driveways and stuff.

It also feels a tic busier over uneven surfaces but I digress on writing reviews bc I'd like more seat time before I make a handling call. Initial impressions are that the car handles just as well on a track or smooth surfaces but that it may be a bit more busy on the rough stuff. It feels possible the stock dampers are working a tic outside their intended range. I'm guessing that best ride quality/performance trade-off would be stock... And if you wanna play and are a track rat.. The way to go is KW coils. When I go to the track it's on two wheels (cars lean the wrong way) ... This is an around town, occasional canyon run fun thing for me and the the trade-off is a fine one for the look in my situation.

Another pic. For some reason I can't post multiple pics in one post? Need to read instructions I guess?

Looks great! Love it without that wheel gap, I might have to drop it after all.

If you have them could you please post a picture from the back...I have SSII M3 also and am debating on M-spoiler, M-Diffuser, and possibly both. Not many pics of these bits on an SSII that I can find.

Also a nice surprise for me was adding color-matched painted reflectors up front to get rid of the stock orange ones...It really cleans up the car a lot for such a subtle change, I'm very happy I did it.

I'll get you some good pics of all those bits. The SS is IMO a color that just pops great when you black out every part you can with either CF or by replacing the chrome as in the case of side emblems and grills. It's the classiest color to offset with carbon bits IMO. And the fastest color of course.

On the side markers.. If I was going to do those I'd go smoked over the paint matched option but there's something I like about the Amber. The car looks stock... Everything I ordered from an aesthetic perspective was installed at the port save for the springs and they are allusive. Ie... They don't scream... "My car is not stock". They just remove a gap. I like the amber reflectors bc my car looks un-modded to the untrained eye and we have a lot of those around here.

My brother has an e63 wagon in black with HREs and he has the same and tells me to get rid of the Amber everytime he sees them. Some folks hate them. I think they hide my mod-ness and keep people guessing! Lol.

Here's a pic of those back bits for you *but.. This pic was like day 3 with stock suspension and no spacers. I will click a better pic later from the rear in its current state with the drop.

No, didn't know there was one? I guess I haven't been paying attention. Im gonna go ride around in circles at the MX track at Piru. Temp still cool enough, not many days left before the heat comes.

Besides... You're going so why bring two! Lol. Represent for the SS carbon M performance look. Have fun!

Looks perfect! I'm probably going to do spacers before I do the springs. Want to drive it stock for a while.

Thanks!

Ahhh that was you! I have seen that post, just not in a while. Car looking great! I really like the RKP diffuser but my exhaust is stock ( wish I had the MPE) and don't like how that diffuser overpowers the stock tips, so the M performance diffuser is ordered!

Drooling over the MPE exhaust tips though...

I had 15/12mm spacers but the 15s up front here in new england would allow the car to throw rocks in front of the car and I'd run over them again! (plus there was a vibration I couldn't get rid of for the life of me because the longer bolts were so heavy and turns out unbalanced), so I'm 12 all around, but 15 up front does look better, esp. dropped.

Going to save the spoiler for a few months from now so I still have something to look forward to...Other than Dinan, MPE, 10" wide rubber...

2strokeme- are you running the spacers 12mm front and 15mm rear or the other way around? I just ordered some 15mm spacers. I have 3 sets of 10mm spacers laying around. Debating which route I want to go.

I'm embarrassed to say that I can't remember. I'll find out and report back but someone will probably beat me to it. There's a right way to do it I just don't remember what it is.

Edit:: 15ft 12r
