that issue is to do with the bluetooth, if thats the issue it wont matter if you have apple car play and try and use bluetooth with carplay.. will have the same problem as youre still using the same bluetooth module.
can still connect via USB while they fix the issue

Missed the update to this thread - looks good Domino_z. How are you enjoying the car?

Mine arrived here by boat on the 4th and cleared the docks on the 5th. Hopefully it's only a few more days away.

really enjoying it, more than i thought i would, so now regretting not optioning the ceramics - at the time i didnt want my 140k M3 to end up a 160k M3 if it was only going to be another 12 month ownership experience like my last 4 dailys

i might end up buying the ceramic retrofit kit, or just invest in some bulk de-ironizing wheel cleaner lol

have done a few little things, with more parts on the way/awaiting install

The new M models seem don't have the new digital fails in the new 4 series, based on the pictures BMW just released.
My M3 will be in production this month, the only new thing on this 2018 model seems to be the headlight. Also I think the first 2018 M3 probably will arrive Australia in July ?

No digital dash for M cars

Seems all the interior changes are towards making the m4 look like the m3 lci

I can't see any changes inside at all for the sedan, apart from the black M badges on the seats

Shame as I was hoping for a quick retro to the new capacitive hvac controls like the 5/7

New headlights are meh, it's still the same actual light unit. If they finally had switched to a better projectir setup I'd definitely swap them out

Domino_z - Re: the Carbon Ceramics - yeah - for $12k, I just didn't think it was worth the extra money. They also cost that (or more) to replace the rotors...

I'd suggest you're better off buying a set of the upgraded brake setups they sell over in the USA/Europe - even at 5-6k, it's still cheaper than the other options, and they'll work just as well.

Mark3 - Looking at the spec list - it actually looks other than the lights that it's just trim changes (ie - more standard bits) on the series update. My car has all the bits and pieces that that model has anyway - including Carplay etc. I do like the tail lights, so I'll probably pick up a set when they're released.

.
it was closer to 20k by time you add all the taxes on top

i haven't owned any car long enough to need to go through a carbon disc or pad change, they pretty much are lifetime items unless you track them through insane heat cycles

i only really want them for the cleanliness aspect. as a hobbiest detailer, maintaining my cars with ceramics is so much easier and a more enjoying experience

Hi all - long time since i've stuck my head in here (of the F85 forum).

I've had my 2016 X5M since Feb/Mar 2016 and due to an ongoing issue, it may be moving on.

I'm carefully considering a 2 car combo instead, consisting of a 2017 F80 LCI (2.0 - just announced) paired with an X4 or M140i for my wife.

My question is around the very limited information available at the moment on the M3/M4 updates for Australia. From the looks of the latest US press release, the F80 LCI 2.0 M3 will come standard with a few Competition Pack items.

- Seats
- Wheels

As they would make up a fair portion of the $5k Competition Pack in Australia, I am wondering if they will in fact be included, or be reserved for the Competition Pack. Obviously different markets might have different options.

My dealership is light on details, though they believe the Competition Pack will still be available on the LCI 2.0 M3. If that's the case, I wouldn't expect to still pay $5k for the pack if the Seats and Wheels are on the base model.

That explains it then! Thanks Domino. Congrats on the M3 btw.

I'm thinking;

AW/SO (though I feel that this look has been done)
Azurite/SS (I love the SS interior and considered it for my X5M)
Signal Green/Black (balls to the wall color - potentially SS interior)

Comp pack with MPE.

Early discussions look like the AW/SO comp pack can be had for $140k.
