Hey, I've got a 16' SO F80 M3 in Fishers. I personally know 1 F80 and 1 F82 owners in the area. I have seen a couple of others (another SO and a Blue) around.
Recently got a new laptop, so once I get the software setup again, I may be able to code depending on how the esys vin license stuff works now.

I'm in Noblesville. I just got a '17 SO/BK F80 M3 a couple weeks ago. Just went to Hoosier BMWCCA social the other. There was a dude with a '16 SO/SO F80 M3 there.
I too intend to code or be coded. That _is_ the question I've coded the last few platforms but haven't done any eSys stuff yet. I'd be into a meetup at some point. |

I'm in the Fishers area as well. Have a 16 SO/SO F82. Not many around this area, but I have seen a Yas and SO F80 a few times. I've done some coding (added extended bluetooth (or whatever its called), changed the indicator amount from 3-5, removed all warnings at startup, added DVD in motion. Attempted euro lighting, but can't quite figure that out yet. Going to give it another shot soon. Overall, pretty simple.
gimmethemuumuu You referring to me (I have an F82, not F80)? If so, it was nice meeting you the other night. I parked my car next to yours before I left to do a little comparison, lol

It was also nice meeting you. Sorry that I got it wrong that you had an F80. Cool to know that you're in an F82. Yeah, I heard from others that you'd fine that. Very cool, my SO brother! Post up the shot if you'd like, either here or in another thread. |

I have a question: Has anyone local tried the Bimmerzine app (for iOS) and a wifi or Bluetooth OBD2 unit?
You can evidently use the coming to turn off ASD or change the exhaust flap behavior. I want to experience the car with ASD off before I install an aftermarket intake and exhaust. TIA! |

My GTS arrives this week, and plan to get it coded as well. I did it remotely for my i8 but my coder is willing to fly to Indy if we have enough people wanting it done.

However, as modern BMW's are, the sound insulation and the way the exhaust actually directs the sound away from the car will make it that much more quiet inside, desirable, but at the same time may take away from the aural driving experience. I had on an MPE on the M235i and installing one on the F80 to offset this. Also the acoustical enhancements (burbles) from the tune help!

I've actually since determined that Bimmercode may be the better app, as it appears to address ASD, as well as many other things. I too intend to install an aftermarket exhaust on the car. I've got an AA rear section ready to go and a midpipe on the way. I just wanted to taste the standard setup in its native form, but without ASD, to compare before and after |

To anyone in the area who's interested in checking it out, I now have an Active Autowerke (AA) midpipe and axleback exhaust installed on my 2017 M3.
I know people always say it's best to hear an exhaust in person to make a determination about it. So, here's your chance! Just let me know if you want to meet up |

I'm up in Goshen. Got the car in Ft Wayne. I come to Indy quite frequently, I grew up there.
I might make a trip down for coding if someone is coming in to town. Keep us posted! |

I have a '15 YMB F80 and live downtown. I see a YMB F82 most often around here. I'm absolutely terrible about getting to the Hoosier BMW events. I'd be interested in getting together though.

Last year I went to 3 tracks (Putnam, Autobahn South and Full) for a number of track days. Planning on doing that again this year. Maybe doing Putnam on 4/8 and most definitely Road America on 5/13. Anyone interested?

I may be interested in going. I'm doing the two day M-school this weekend, so hopefully I'll be feeling confident about risking my own car on the track after getting some training.
