I just wanted to highlight that I am delighted CCB are not standard, so it does not rule out the CS for me

I'll wait for more formal package content and pricing before I make a commitment. But so far, it looks appealing.

As feared.. I really want one of these when my F80 lease is up, but very torn on giving up my 6MT.

but you won't like the lack of center console storage space and door panels without speakers.

Yup, true. We'll have to wait and see for that. The center console storage is practical to store an iPod/iPhone for the M-Laptimer and wallet when at the track. I do like my music, especially when stuck in traffic. I would also prefer the aesthetic of leather door panels, but I could do without.

GT3s are even more niche vehicles than the M4 CS. BMW is nowhere near as big as VW/Audi to have loss-leaders that appeal to 1% of the population (1% of whom actually have the means to purchase said vehicle).

From the given stats, a manual M4 CS would be no faster than a DCT ZCP M4, which would make for poor marketing.

From what we've been told, the M2 CS will also not be manual.

CP is not any lighter than base. If anything, it is slightly heavier.

So a slight power bump due to a more freer flowing exhaust, no water inj
No centre storage or door speakers would be a deal breaker for me. This will be my DD and only vehicle so I need these comforts! Also no mention of OLED tail lights? Still eagerly awaiting the official release, but at this point I'll stick with my current competition pack M4 I have on order.

Now that my ZCP is officially a Civic ZCP, I can plan on terminating my lease early next year Joking aside, it looks like the CS is going to be a sweet car and they are offering it in my favorite color too, San Marino Blue.

Actual performance numbers may reveal that the whole is greater than the parts, and may make the loss of certain creature comforts, or increase in price, or minimal increase in HP/TQ worth it for some.

Hope M2 CS is gonna be a similar concept:
400 HP
Alcantara & buckets
DCT
Lightweight bits
Stiffer suspension
Normal brakes
Limited run

I think I can wait 6 more months and pay the premium for this version despite the lacking sound of the S55.

Wonder why he states 2019 as probable date in the US for M2CS. Should be middle of 2018 according to recent news right?

Yes, the color palate on these cars is very nice, but I'm not sure I want to wait a whole year to get one! Plus we don't even have the details on cost and packages.

Anyway, I would say the base M is the Civic. ZCP at least gets you Acura status.

says right in the text... " limited-edition Club Sport "

" BMW’s M performance-car division reveals the new 454-hp M4 CS, heralding a new line of limited-edition Club Sport models positioned above the existing range of standard M models but below the ultra-low-volume, stripped-out GTS specials typically launched toward the end of the life of selected M models. Ex 1m owner here. Put a deposit down on the M2 CS last month with the intent of buying only if it's manual. Don't give a shit if DCT is 0.2 seconds faster - there's tunes for that Still hoping bmw surprises us all
