Most likely not.
The F80 chassis will go out of production shortly after the M4CS starts production. There is likely little business case to develop a CS variant of the M3 for such a short production span.

No.
As CanAutM3 mentioned, the M3 will only be around until the end of MY2018 in October 2018 (see sticky thread at the top of this forum for information and links). The M4 CS on the other hand is a two year run going until the middle of 2019. Furthermore, the M4 CS uses parts from the GTS that will not work on the M3 such as the hood and some of the interior pieces, particularly those on the doors. Developing those separately would likely drive costs of an M3 CS too high since there would have been no high-MSRP GTS (and DTM edition) equivalent to help subsidize. Now, could there still be a special edition M3 next year with the 454hp tune developed for the CS and perhaps an exclusive color or two? Maybe, but even that I would only give a very small chance. |

Hood fits perfectly fine on the f80 but your right about the door panels but thats it. center consol, steering wheel and the seats fits in the f80 too.

In any case, as I say, the reasons go beyond just the fact that you would need to create unique parts for the M3. |

No but you can build a last model year keeper F80 M3 for the ages as follows:
Individual SMB paint (or Imola Red) ZCP CCBrakes Exec Pack DCT (or 6MT if u desire) Carbon structure cloth seats Carbon Fiber roof CS is nice but if it has to be an M3, the above car would be more rare than a CS and just as fast. |

The CS moniker will be an Coupé only thing! But I wouldn't rule out the possibility of an new M3 CRT for the last production year !?
Build in the same manner as the E90 M3 CRT and in strictly limited numbers. |

Plus the usually M3 driver has a family. I am not sure all the changes to save weight with doors and alcantera (kids + fuzzy leather = disaster) would work for my situation. I still love the track ability of the M3 yet interior is very nice for when I am not at a track.

It seems to me that BMW is gradually reducing the M3 to 2nd tier status. Very disappointing as I have no interest in anything with 2 doors.
I don't care for the CS interior but the new engine power would be nice along with the wheels, rear spoiler, a few other bits. Make them options? My lease runs out in September. Not sure what I will do. Not much to look forward to at this point. |

That's good news. I've been eyeing that GTS Center Console since the release.

Which is cool too - the point being that there's no reason NOT to make a M3 CS version, at least based upon the false assumption that 2 doors must be utilized for max performance.

I don't think an F80 M3 CS is in the cards as production is nearing complete with MY2018.
BUT, only time will tell as I do remember a few months back when BMW filed to protect M1 CS through M8 CS on the WIPO.... http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...h-cs-line.html |
