Awesome! Glad you were able to see the sights and catch a game in Munich! Rothenburg ob der Tauber is such a unique and fantastic place to visit, and glad you were able to make it back down south to do some Alpine driving. So much win!

Great pics!
Should've done a lap on the Nordschleife though. Just don't go crazy and you should be fine. But I can understand your fear.

Congratulations and THANKS for sharing pix of the ED.
Your write up will have to be a definite share with my wife -- Ordering an M4 in July *and* now the discussion will include the ED option. |

I have a question about ED itself.....how much cheaper is the car when you do this type of thing? Is the car cheaper because it's technically used when it comes to the U.S.? And if so, can I have a family member in Germany do the ED thing (because I have no desire to go to Europe again) then reap the benefits of a cheaper car?

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...erYourBMW.aspx Taking delivery of your new BMW in Europe will definitely make you smile. So will the savings. You may save up to 7 percent of the base Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price. Not sure on the family member part.

Thanks for sharing, reminds me of my ED last year, one of the best trips of my life. Switzerland makes the rest of Europe look like a baragin for sure

Amazing trip! I'm so jealous you got to see a futboll match. We wanted to go badly but no matches were being played during our time there
Regarding Nurburgring you definitely missed out...it's not the same as being on that track yourself. We were there on a Sunday and it was pretty busy but I checked my ego at the gate and took it easy but was not gonna leave germany without experiencing the 'Ring. Great color combo on the car. Congratulations & Enjoy!

My wife and I are talking about doing this exact same thing in a year or two; how does shipping the car to the US work (logistics, cost involved, etc). I am sure this has been covered before, but I'm new here and haven't seen this answered elsewhere after a preliminary search.
Thanks, and beautiful car! |

Great write up! You hit a few of the places we did.
Reading your thread for some reason it never crossed my mind about the insurance when I hit the ring. I'm glad I didn't think of it because I wouldn't have raced it and would have been freaked out if I did lol! Great job can't wait to do my second Euro Delivery!

My brother was going to order an M3 during my ED trip and I called BMWNA and asked them specifically if I could pick it up on my brothers behalf, they said that my wife was able to do it, since I'm already picking up a car and you're only allowed 1 ED pickup a year.
