Intersting video pitting an incredibly fast bike vs BMW's best track car. Probably a better match up at a shorter track with more turns and less straights.

If you want something that can keep up with the 1000RR in a straight line and is track focused like the M4GTS - you should probably consider a Porsche. This past weekend in my bolt-on 911 Turbo S track car I raced the 1000RR (with a very experienced rider) in a half mile drag race and came out on top. Vid will be on my YouTube page shortly.

Cheers.

Has anyone ever put the 1000RR engine in a bmw (car)?

found some vids of a swap into a Fiat 500, which is a common recipient of bike engines

I think it's ridiculous the host is referring to the BMW as the "Widow Maker". It's just a GTS. The real "Widow Maker" is the double R.

I believe he is referring to the GTS as a "widow maker" for the M4 and like vehicles class group. Lol.

Would be fun to see a match up of the 1000RR vs. the Kawasaki ZX-14R.

It can't be a widow maker unless people have died while operating it. The GTS isn't a widow maker..........at least not in the literal, nor operative, sense of the word.

2004 zx-10r is the true widow- maker.
I had one and swore it was trying to kill me every time I was near 1/2-3/4 throttle.
Most insane machine I have owned....and much more ferocious than the 2005 zx-12r which was bigger displacement.

kinda lame video. Comparing cars to bikes, what's next? Honda made a plane, compare that to the new NSX. They Didn't even think to share lap times.

Coming from someone who had and crashed the 1000rr, and has multiple m3s....the 1000 is def the widow maker. Any bike that runs 9s is gunna be dangerous....

Funny how thought of what kind of times both the bike and the car will yield and yet when the video ended, I too was like "where's the track times!?"

I know it's subjective, but I did chuckle when he stated that the car is more rewarding on the track than the bike. Having spent track time in/on both (..many more hours logged on a bike), the bike is a far more rewarding experience simply because of what it requires of you to get it right.

The problem with the motorcycle is, if you lose control the bike is done and yourself too.
