M4 Waiting Lists

Thought it would be a good idea to share what dealers already started these.

I know for a fact a handful in the NJ region have no idea about an M4, resulting in no waiting list.
Anyone know of any in the tri-state area?

Edit: Talked to Jeff Sherman over at Park Ave BMW, he is taking deposits on the new M3/M4 right now. Its a $500 deposit. You guys can contact him over at jeffs@parkavebmw.com or (201)843-7901 ext 119. Tell him Mark sent you he should be happy. Great guy to deal with, true M enthusiast.

we have had a waiting list going for both M3 and M4. Started the list over a year ago

Like I have been saying if you want one of these bad boys when they first come out you better get on a list, better put a deposit down, and better get some sort of confirmation of your spot from the dealer.

I would like to think it wouldn't happen but there is a chance if you dont have something in writing you could be waiting and waiting only to find out that a dealer sold your spot to a higher bidder. Sometimes when these BMW come out and the allocations are tough to come by it can get a little cut throat

You are spot on! That is why I'm doing euro delivery. Save a bunch a money, dream trip for free, no wait list, and does not come out from dealer allocation. Win Win all around. If no time to hang out in Germany Still way worth it to just go, get car, and fly out same day for skipping all the drama.
Timing delivery for April 15th timeframe to avoid the snow tire law. Can't wear those shoes in the ring!

^^in your sake and everyone else lets hope BMW doesn't take ED orders out of US allocation. If I had to guess I would say most likely they will but we are not certain. If they do come out of US allocations it will be tough to find a dealer who would sell anything less then ED MSRP, it just wouldn't make any sense for a dealer to go lower then that on ED given the demand for the car. It will all come down to how many allocations each dealers gets. Thats what drives the price.

My dealer assured me that all I will need is a $1k deposit when ordering begins in Feb/March timeframe and no wait list For ED. They were also certain it does not come from Dealer allocation. They are a high volume dealer with a great relationship with me which may play a part but all systems go. Already got my Vanity Plate ready to go.

It amazes me how many dealers know nothing about their product line or any real customer relationships aside from selling a "car" and providing oil changes.

I ordered a first model year E93 M3 before it was out. Went to a dealer in AL twice and told them to call me as they got info on it. Never received any calls. Went to Nashville to purchase (5 hour drive). Whatever.

Seems that is a global problem...some of the factual inaccuracies I have been spouted by local dealers....the worst being told emphatically in the used cars section by the BMW salesman that the 335i has a 3.5 litre engine.

Just put a 3k deposit on a new M4 through the military direct factory sales program. Pretty unbelievable deal considering the markups the dealers in America are likely to put on having one of the first M4s in America. Looking forward to seeing more updates as they come out.

Yup, I know this as I was the guy who the folder was started for. Email confirmations and all but Checa dropped the ball and my #1 slot evaporated. I am VERY pleased David and Brie have taken over given what happened with the previous crew. Already sent over a good buddy who bought a new car from David two weeks ago and I'll still be getting my F80 from ST.

Yea it was a bummer there were a few others that we had no idea who was on what list. However glad to see David was able to get you all set up.

David comes back on the 11th and then we will all be back to normal

Does it make a difference what dealer you buy through if you are doing ED? Or are those prices pretty much set?

So people who are planing on doing ED dont necessarily need to put a deposit and get on a wait list?
