How many people are still reading reviews after they received the car?

Just wondering how many owners with cars already on hand still continue reading reviews? I fall in the category of those who still do.

Yes, I still read them, but I probably shouldn't. I find myself getting angry at the reviews that seem unfair or, in my opinion, falsely represent the car to the public reading audience like the Jalopnik report on the M3 that was just posted.

Yeah, I read them and remember shit that made me think something like they wrote. Mostly I think they write like I do. Make a point by being sharp, and using controversy as a way to sell it. If we could produce a perfect journalist for the forum it would be @Karussell driving it (the humiliation that man made me live through was enough to seal him in my Lups's approved men for life), @Ybbiz34 would write it, @Dondula would have it for a week to sort out the problems, and I would be banned for the first discussion week from the thread.

Anyway, as you Coupe know, I'm addicted to good writers, Karussell and The Ybeverythingafteritsoit'sadyslexicsnightmare do the job just fine, but they are no fan boys of anything strangely. They sort this shit out coolly instead like the rest of us. I still hate my I something lady Candy so much, we have agreed no blue tooth or navigation ever.

Yes, I am indeed an adult, I just refuse to act like one.

No reason for me to read them as my review is the only one that matters now. I bet the 3 Musketeers read them to ensure their trap speeds and spreadsheets line up properly with the reviews though. Think of the street cred you can gain by calling out an editor for overrating an engine in a magazine by simulating it on excel?

I read that same review and thought it was very positive. Even the Jalopnik commentators (usually the biggest trolls online) had good things to say about it.

Travis does good car reviews and I thought this one was spot on. 9's or 8's across the board with the exception of sound. And we all know what that's about.

I read everything and will continue to read everything as long as I own the car.

I've taken my fascination with this car to the printed page as well. Have save every copy of every magazine where the M twins are either discussed or pictured. Its not like I had to look around, I get most of the magazines delivered (how do you say no to $5/year?) and just saved the ones that came in.

I've also read every single review of any competitor this car will have. The new Lexus was DOA, now looking forward to seeing what Mercedes and Audi have in store. After sitting in the new C Class sedan at Detroit last year, I was very impressed.

yes, but i find it hilarious how no journalist has the balls to actually compare steels to ceramics. just blanket statements about them based on a few minutes driving. i think most of the reviews are done with press cars fully loaded. after doing the stopping exercise at pcd in a ceramic'd m4 i'm convinced they are actually worse than steels as far as stopping distance and certainly modulation.

I read the comments on the reviews here and not the reviews themselves to figure out if there's something worth dipping into the cesspool of clickbait for...

While I'm still waiting on my M3, I wasn't offend at all with the Jalopnik review. As Bill O'Reilly would say, I thought it was "fair and balanced." The review synced with the general impression I had from my test drive. Also, the M3 is better looking than the M4, sorry M4 owners. Truth!

his points are consistent with most other reviews but his style was too contrived; attempting to be sardonically sarcastic which was not indicated.

I am picturing the classic new age hipster look for this guy...too cool for the room.

previous love affairs with other cars and the comparison is also unwarranted.

I don't necessarily need to have a manufactured and postured "personality" injected into a review.

"just the facts, m'am" will do.

The Jalopnik article did not misrepresent the M3 in any way. It certainly wasn't top shelf automotive journalism, but there was no M bashing at all.

If you want "just the facts" then a technical sheet should do the job. Reviewers bring their personality into each review, that's what makes people like Harris and Sutcliff different.
