This really sucks. I heard a rattle around the area of the passenger seat on my F80. Will take my brother with me to locate it.

My f30 had horrible noises until each one was found and quelled...first year model woes!

Bad Rubber seals and squeaky cup holders were some of our issues, hoping you guys have that at least corrected....

My door has a rattle somewhere. My old TTRS has zero rattles and my really old E36 M3 did not have a single rattle at 80,000 miles. What has happened BMW? This is my first bimmer since a long time and I feel Audi is the real deal now a days with their fit and finish.

I have a consistent minor rattle coming from somewhere around the left dashboard...nothing that would warrant a visit to the dealer though.

My guess is it's the extra stiff suspension paired with regular 3 series interior and bmw didn't spend extra time trying to dampen the interior sounds. Loaner cars never rattle.

My M3 sounded like it was going to fly apart with all the rattles, groans, and creaks when I first got it. As mentioned earlier, all it took for mine was to run the GummiPflege stick over the rubber seals where the doors met the body of the car and all noise has been silenced. Well, all noise except the beautiful sound of that engine :-)

Apply rubber conditioner onto the door and window seals like others have said. Squeaks and creeks go away after that. Rattles could be something else, but a rapid squeak can sound like one. Start with the conditioner and go from there.

Thank you, i hope this stuff is good and will try that. I'm guessing all of the sedan doors make noise over bumps and it does sound like rubber come to think of it. A rimless door would help and bimmerpost should sticky these types of tips.

The gummy seems to work awesome! I push in the door and you can hear it and after applying the noise is gone. For those whom don't know if their door squeak just push your door after it's shut and you will hear it.

I'm buying some felt tape. I pushed in my carbon trim and I hear the plastic.

Shame on you BMW! How can you offer full leather with such sloppy fit and finish? My old e36 was held together by screws and now pop outs type like GM and Ford.

It should be ok after the fix but disappointed for such craftsmanship for its price and much inferior in interior quality compared to Porsche and Audi.

Again thank you very much for the fix. You must have spent quite some time locating these areas. These fix should be done at BMW prior to delivery.

Bought mine showroom with 60 miles on it. I'm up to 400 miles. No rattles of any kind so far. Hopefully if there were any issues the dealer took care of it. I've been pleasantly surprised with the sturdiness of the build. Hope this lasts!

Our Michigan road is the ultimate test since it's like multiple speed bumps built in. When the trim construction is the pop in type it is impossible not to make any noise when it's plastic on plastic and I'm sure the noise will come and go based on the outside temperature or going over bumpy tracks. parky1215 post some good info and it looks like a 15 minute fix and looks easy. Take a look at the link and have the solution in the back of your mind if it ever happens to you, you will know how to fix it.

My car rattles like a box of rocks. Speakers rattle, especially center channel, plastic in the rear seat area rattles, etc...

A little annoyed myself.

all rattles and squeaks fixed by application of obnoxious exhaust w/open windows and/or a good dose of your favorite music pumped up to eardrum bleeding levels

I had a bunch of rattles and buzzes in my e92 right out the gate. Finally after a few months of driving they went away. I think all the new plastics and materials need some time to settle in because they are so new.

Only rattles I have is the change in my change tray sliding during hard cornering. Otherwise, my car is quiet as a morgue.

My door seals have been completely quiet. I've gotten a few dash buzzes on rough roads and an occasional - but no steady - plastic-on-plastic sound from the rear deck which I believe is the child safety anchor covers. They are flimsy plastic on top of flimsy plastic with no soft material in between.

I will say that I think the F80 is actually better than a standard f30 and the e90 series in some ways because the chassis itself is so stiff and doesn't flex as much.

That being said, of course, the f80/f82 have more cabin vibration due to less rubber.

Loud rattle in right rear passenger area of car. Varies with type of road. Pretty solid except for the one LOUD issue.

Pop open the cover for the top child safety attachment point (right on top of the rear deck) and see if it continues. Or just shove a sock or piece of tape across it , whatever.

See if it goes away.

Once you play with those, you'll see how cheap and likely to rattle they are...

No rattles here, but my rear door seals are creaking like crazy, even just driving on the freeway. Im going to try the Armor All trick and see if that works.

so far this is my biggest complaint to date. i have a lot of rattle during certain environments.

1) gravel road, i get a rattle from behind the passenger seats, in front of the back window.

2) Bluetooth phone calls. all speakers rattle, as if they were not insulated enough. this only happens when it is set at 80% or higher. kind of annoying.

i took the car in for the first issue, they corrected it. Still happens at certain times and not as loud. but still enough to hear it when i have no music playing and i just want to enjoy the engine sound.
